Re: Weather
I am no different when it comes to getting the van ready for a trip. Theres always another little thing to put back or just an excuse to go out there and fiddle with some thing. Going out for lunch today will keep me busy for a while but between now and half twelve on Sunday i will have to think of more things to do.

We were on our way to a THS at Melton Mowbray for the towns 40s weekend and just received email to say it's cancelled due to ground conditions , so that's scuppered plans.Thinking caps on now for whereelse to go to.

rained all night. Still wet this morning but the rain has stopped at least. Dull and overcast but quite warm at 12 degrees and the forecast is for it to brighten up later.

Re: Weather
It's 11° here in Tutbury rising to 23, we reached 22 yesterday. Further to my post yesterday, with Melton Mowbray THS cancelled and every surrounding site full, we are now heading to a THS at Ferry Meadows Peterborough where its already 15° and rising to 23. We will try and book a site at Melton on return journey after the event is over.

Re: Weather
Glad you got fixed up Paul. Bright here now with a little light cloud and cool breeze. We expect it to hit 18°c later and continue to improve over the next few days before the showers reappear on Sunday. There will be much burning of charcoal over the next few days so it would be churlish not to join in Shopping day for us.

Re: Weather
17 degrees at the moment and warming up nicely with sun getting stronger, shame I am working in the shade this morning.
Yesterday was a lovely evening, took the wee sports car down to Pendennis Point and sun was so warm, plenty of boats out and about, the drove slowly back around the coast, like being on holiday
Enjoy your travels everyone and don't burn the bbq Tony.
Have a great day all

Re: Weather
Another nice day so we decided to go out in the car before I get busy packing for Sunday. We went to the North Sea Observatory near Chapel saint Lenords.
It was nice sitting out overlooking the beach even though there was a slight sea mist. We shared a nice ploughman’s lunch before walking along to Chapel for an ice cream. A couple at the next table gave muttly some bacon rind so he enjoyed his day out.
We were thinking he hasn’t been out in the car any distance since we brought him home three years ago. He was a bit fidgety going but coming back he dozed off until we got home.

Re: Weather
Glorious start to the day here, sunshine, some clouds zero wind.
Talking of which, if you have an EV might be an idea not to charge it today. Google GRIDWATCH TEMPLAR
Wind currently managing just over 1% of our needs, solar not much more.
Thank goodness for hydrocarbon and nuclear !

Re: Weather
Lovely morning - bright sunshine not a cloud in the sky and 14 degrees with the temp due to go up into the 20's again. Think the birds were using the van for target practice yesterday so need to clean it before we head off for the weekend.
Take care all.

Morning all, safe travels if you are away this weekend.
Interesting statistic Ian, .... hmmm
Looks like you could teach the chef's a few things on the bbq Tony.
Lovely sunny morning for the early shop, back by just after eight ( not the chocolate ones) quite a few mh's on the road possibly some heading to the ferry at Plymouth, only day crossing is a Friday otherwise it is all at night. Looks like it will get back in to the twenties later so bring it on.
Have a great day all

Re: Weather
Already 17° at 9am here in Peterborough, rising to 24. Much the same forecast tomorrow. Nothing much planned today except a walk up to local garden centre for coffee and another wander around Nene Park like yesterday.
Fish n chip van comes today so that's dinner sorted, there's a different van here almost every day , it was Indian Street Food last night but that's not my sort of thing.

2 points intended GH
1 We're not awash with electricity today!!
2 If you do charge your EV the electricity is created by largely hydrocarbons, just like my diesel!!!

Re: Weather
Morning Boaby. It was a cracking day yesterday and it looks like a similar day today. Forecast is for 24°c later although some are suggesting showers this afternoon. Garden will get a good drink tomorrow when the weather gets back to normal
ps, no sign of the Aurora Borealis here last night.

Re: Weather
Foggy here today which usually means a pleasant day ahead if/when it lifts/burns off.
Another day when better to charge your phone than your EV though, see Gridwatch Templar. (last of these I promise!!)

Looks like another scorcher at Ferry Meadows, 24° forecast again.
Seeing lots of photos from home on FB showing amazing aurura borealis, typical that we are away when it happens at home.

Re: Weather
Didn't see any of it either despite the photos taken locally and all over the interweb!
Another cracking start to the day but a little more breeze, unbroken blue skies but fear tomorrow will be the start of the change with rain arriving later and then an unsettled week. On with the painting today and try to get it al done before the weather turns.
Enjoy the travels all those out and about.

Re: Weather
A nice bright and warm start to the day but it’s slowly become overcast and the breeze is cooler.
After our walk I had a last check round the van and cleaned the windows, being able to see were I am wenting to would be a great help.
Picked our son up from work. Cleethorpes was busy so the weather must be helping trade. Indian for tea tonight and then an early night. ready for off tomorrow.
