Re: Weather
Nice start here this morning. Sunny scattered cloud, more breeze, so the big high is moving away.
Should be similar for your journey south Dave....

Re: Weather
Enjoy your trip Dave. Got up to 26°c yesterday but it will be several degrees cooler today with a lot more cloud. We are also expecting rain this afternoon to herald the return to unsettled weather.

Re: Weather
A lovely bright start this morning. I know it’s asking for the weather to change but maybe I will dig out my shorts.
It seems a long time since it was shorts season.
After muttly has had his wander I will get the van off the drive before the parking on the street gets silly when Lidl opens.

Re: Weather
The heat continues here in Peterborough, 16 at moment rising to 25 (reached 24 yesterday). We are moving on today (THS ends today) only 21 miles so expect the same.

Re: Weather
Another hot one down here, shorts are a twelve month job for many down here though I am not that brave. Weather should break tonight so rushing on with painting before it does. Lady G has been strimming this morning and blowing up leaves I did think to ask her what time lunch would be ready but thought better of it

Just had ours, poached eggs. We had 5 double yolkers out of six, what are the chances of that?
I'm on duty watching for the impending rain with my mission to ensure the washing that's on the line outside doesn't get soaked. It's looking very thundery right now

Re: Weather
Thunder finally arrived around 8pm accompanied by 20 minutes of pounding rain, certainly cleared the air. Overcast today and a high of 22°c and forecast to stay dry until later this evening, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a shower or two before then.

Morning Tony, gorgeous sunrise earlier, good long walk with Tag along the prom, heavy sea fret/har has rolled in since then, still mild with a light breeze.
Have a good day, take care if your on tour.

Re: Weather
High of 21 forecast here in Rutland area, Blue sky but rather windy and a little cooler than last 3 days. No rain at all since we came away last Tuesday although I gather there was a storm at home yesterday afternoon. Only slight chance of rain forecast today.

Very different day today, wet and a fair breeze blowing, glad we managed to get so much done the last few days. Indoor day today I fear!

Front passed through late afternoon and the sun made a brief appearance but still looks pretty unsettled. Just making out a shopping list for Mole Valley Farmers tomorrow, this is looking expensive!

Not as big as the holes the bleddy badgers make Ian, a length of electric fence might be enough to put them off without harming them.

Re: Weather
Forecast for yesterday was spot on with rain arriving around teatime. Very sad as our neighbours grandsons had to abandon their garden game of football which meant I didn't have to keep returning their ball over the fence Today looks like being wet all day and temperatures down to seasonal normal of 16°c.

Re: Weather
Rain started here around 11pm and hasn't stopped since. We move again today but only 20 miles or so. This time a mile away from Melton Mowbray that we had planned to visit last weekend if you've followed my trip. High of 17 today.
We went into Uppingham yesterday, famous for its £10k per term school and past pupils such as Rowan Atkinson, Stephen Fry (expelled ), Rick Stein and loads of politicians and sportsmen. We encountered future prime ministers and heads of industry, I'll say no more!

Re: Weather
Morning folks,
After a nice, relaxing few days away in the van it was back to torrential rain yesterday afternoon. Got home and sat in the van for 20 minutes as the rain was so heavy...
Dry this morning and quite warm at 13 degrees. No rain forecast and there may be some sunny intervals with the temp rising to around the 20 degree mark.
Take care if your out and about.

Re: Weather
Bit murky start here but it should clearto a mainly cloudy day. Google thinks we might get showers this evening but the BBC doesn't. Sure one of them is right. Loved this series of "Saving lives at sea" which concluded last night and I'm in awe at the work of the RNLI volunteers. I was surprised though to see an ex-colleagues being one of the "casualties" being rescued in an earlier. episode.

Re: Weather
Morning Tony, pre dawn walk with Tag, still mild without a breeze, however all changed at 6, when the heavens opened, filled the water butts though.
Hope your pal recovered fine Tony! We watch the series too. My brother had a stint with SAR when he was at RNAS. Brawdy back in the day.
Have a nice day.

Re: Weather
Haven't seen the latest series, what a great job these people do! Called them out delivering a yacht from Guernsey to Bristol, crew winching the mainsail up, ratchet broke and handle smashed him in the face, nasty. St Ives lifeboat was straight out and he was carted off by helicopter to hospital.
Wet overnight and showery this morning, not a great day for getting on but improving picture. Stay safe and enjoy the tours if away.

Turned cooler at 14 degrees and overcast, still dry, we regularly get the SAR Helos along the coast here ,usually getting trippers of the rocks when the tide comes in.
