Re: Weather
A nice sunny start today. Hopefully it will stay dry for our walk this morning. We got half way round our walk last night before it started to rain. By the time we got home it was absolutely chucking it down.
Because our son is working Sunday he has offered to take us out for breakfast. I had forgotten what day it was because we are getting ready for our travels on Monday.
Management has just said daughter is calling Sunday on her way home from work to have tea with us. After all the years of us two working shifts the kids are now learning to live round shifts.

Re: Weather
Morning all, we're still resisting putting the heating on but we are wearing winter clothing Rain arrived around 2pm yesterday, not heavy but persistent. Today is cloudy with lots of showers expected over the whole day and staying cold. We need to do a top up shop today to get all the things we forgot yesterday, the list us up to 8 items (so far )

Another wet night here, good walk with Tag before dawn, heavy cloud build up to the south east, to rain again shortly.
Have a nice day.

Re: Weather
After dreadful day yesterday, weather wise, it's bright with broken cloud today, some chance of rain but hopefully it will hold off until much later. 20 minute walk to coast so we shall tie that in with lunch and a steam train ride.

Rained for most of yesterday and looks like it will be the same today. So much for global warming - middle of June and the heating is already on.....

Re: Weather
Theres me thinking no body reads my ramblings. The amendment worked and its less offensive.
The breakfast this morning was very nice especially so when our son paid for us two. Apparently a local TV crew were in the cafe talking to customers about the weather first thing this morning. It must have been a slow news day or the political pantomime had taken a rest.
The average customers early morning are the dog walkers. I wonder if they interviewed the dogs as well.

Re: Weather
Well the rain held off until 5pm and we had a beautiful sunny day for the 2.5 hour steam train ride which gave fabulous views of surrounding hillside. Gone much cooler now .

Re: Weather
Little change from yesterday with cloud and showers today. No change in the temperatures either so still cold too. Our rain stopped about 4pm yesterday so I stuck a load of washed towels out and tgey dried in 2 hours because of the brisk wind.
Enjoyed last night's TV, Gardener's World followed by Gogglebox, apparently there was a football match on one of the channels

Not sure the term 'football' match is right Tony, not that I watched it but isn't there supposed to be two teams playing to make it a match?
Dry at the moment though that isn't going to last but the temp should get into the mid-teens.

Re: Weather
A lovely bright and dry start to the day. Muttly was lying in a patch of sun snoring whist I sorted breakfast.
Two more sleeps before we start our next travels so it will be a day of packing and a final clothes wash. Management has done a menu and shopping list for a few bits to get in the morning from Lidl.
I phoned the pub yesterday to confirm our stop Monday night. The landlord said he will put cones across the corner of the car park so we are away from the road overlooking the garden. It will be rude not to eat in when they make an effort to welcome you.

Re: Weather
Typical morning, sunshine then heavy showers. Started watching the one sided match then got bored as I am with another one sided match but at least the soccer when you score a goal it counts. Very roughly 42% are predicted to vote for the red team yet they will achieve double the seats the remaining 56% of voters will get. How is that right? Let's not go there though.

I'll be very glad when both tournaments are over!
Didn't realise, when we booked a trip to Germany, that the soccer would be on...... On the other hand, the roads might be quiet at certain times.

An irreverent thought, if Easter can be different every year, just to mess me about it seems, why can't we have Xmas in July???
Learned a new Norwegian word for persistent heavy rain today..... Kristiansand!!

An overcast and damp morning. Typically when are about to go away daughter is not well so management is going to see her today. This is the first time she has been poorly since they got married and son in law is finding a bit of a challenge. Being a nurse she is dosnt make a very good patient. I am staying here to get the van ready and keep out of the way.

Re: Weather
About 11.30 last night we had a violent downpour, never heard rain on the roof so heavy, I thought it would smash a rooflight it was that deafening. This morning all sunny and bright, blue sky but some very large threatening clouds. Going home today, hoping for a calm journey back.
