Another pre- dawn raid with Tag this morning,sea fret/har clearing by 5 ,still mild ,although there's an autumnal feel in the air .

Cool windy and rain this morning, just putting the last things out in the van from house fridge as we are off to the Lake District today for a long weekend. If weather forecast is right the weather should be OK

Back at Roscoff early loaded with fuel and wine now first in line for the ferry. Just been interviewed by French TV about yesterday's sad news. Sun is shining chips are frying at least we will smell nice when security call.

Good leisurely drive down to Lake District with occasional showers but generally a good day for driving. Currently set up on small private site with 7 pitches next to a lovely cafe and farm shop. 17 degrees no wind with cloud cover starting to break and glimpses of blue sky.

Didn't pass Tony this time but there was a Autosleeper pvc with bikes on back in car park at Houghton Hall garden centre at Carlisle when we stopped for lunch, too far away for me to see what model

Dry night until around 5, light drizzle started on our way back with Tag, still mild,no sunrise to see.

Thanks Boaby, tough job but somebody has to do it. Very peaceful night, currently 16degrees and sunny with no wind. For some reason didn't pack shorts this trip but fortunately one of my pairs of trousers have removable lower legs. First thing to do after mug of Yorkshire gold tea and some marmalade on toast.

Off to Lakeside pier later for cruise to Bowness and walk round town for ice cream

Back from the land of the euro, lovely day here today spoiled only by having to blow a ton of leaves and mow the flippin' lawns. Thought as I was doing it I could sell this house by a great big motorhome with a car in the belly and just say goodbye to all the chores....

Cooler overnight,no rain and patchy cloud,good walk with Tag,very quiet on the ,roads,almost like lock down again.

As Tony says lovely sunny morning, but definitely autumnal chill this morning, had to dry mobility scooter cover before packing it away this morning.

Just had lovely cooked full English in farmshop cafe. Off to play at La'al Ratty now for rest of today.

Mizzle this morning, glad now to have done so much outside yesterday, today looks like an office day. Processing a compensation claim against Air Canada which they are using covid to wriggle out of, I will beat them in the end no matter how long it takes. I love challenges like this.
Sounds like great fun Bilbo, enjoy the railway, something that fascinates me but I know little about, one of these days I must rectify that.

Heavy rain overnight,  dreary looking day, just great for a 150 mile drive !

Don't have the drive to face today, that will be tomorrow for us in better weather than todays. Dry and fairly mild now, peaceful after torrential rain stopped late last night.

Just got to find somewhere to go this afternoon where we xan dodge any rogue showers and keep management happy.

Safe and happy travels everyone, we are back for a while now, next trip to Sussex in November to meet visiting family from overseas. Started out wet here but cheering up a bit now, time to tackle the list of improvements to the van and essential maintenance after France, I am still in shock how smoothly everything went.

Hope the sun comes out for you Boaby, raining down here now and not looking like much improvement.  Nothing exciting planned for the near future, Lady G tells me I am going to buy some new house plants this morning, can't wait!

Noticed that a lot in France this time Tony, sometimes cutting in front and slowing down, also odd when I pulled over to let vehicles pass they just sat behind and didn't overtake even when I came to a stop. Just gave up doing it in the end!

Lovely sunny morning after what turned out to be a much nicer day than forecast yesterday, dried up by breakfast and was warm. Had a nice day at RSPB Leighton Moss.

Of to Sizergh Castle today, leaving about 4pm for four hour drive home with stop at Cairn Lodge services for tea.

Turned out really nice and warm GH, 10 km breeze ,full washing out this morning, I have my kitchen porter hat on. ,the wife has a stookie on her foot and is on light duties.
