Re: Weather
The wind has blown sand on to the prom in Cleethorpes so it was difficult to see the markings for the parking bays.
I managed to park opposite the cafe but it was a cold dash from the car. The breakfast in Oliver’s is to be recommended. Me and our son opted for the standard breakfast plus add on fried bread and black pudding. It was rather filling so I didn’t have lunch until two o clock.
Tea at our daughters has been put off until tomorrow. Her husband is having a football night and she has swapped her shifts so we are going tomorrow. I don’t think she is happy about football night but we are keeping out of that issue.

Re: Weather
Looks like a repeat of yesterday but with light winds, dry and mainly cloudy with a high of 8°c today. Quiet day ahead for us, remember when we looked forward to Saturday, doing all the things we couldn't because of work
Every day's a Saturday now
Take care folks.

Re: Weather
Speak for yourself, Tony. Saturday still means I don't need to get up a stupid o'clock for work (not that I'm jealous or anything..) Patiently waiting for the day I can retire
Looks like it will be the same as yesterday, didn't wash the van so guess what - it didn't rain...typical. Ceiling replaced and lights rewired, just waiting for the plasterer next week to finish it off then it's re-papering the hall...

How wrong can you (I) be
One, it's been drizzly rain since first thing and blinking cold. Two, the gardener decided that our pear tree required to be pollarded using the nice new pruning saw bought from Lidl (recommended). I was told my help was not required, which as we all know was the order to get off my bahookie and get my work gear on Just a trip to the recycling centre to do.......eventually

Re: Weather
It’s got brighter as the day has moved on but the breeze is cold. We don’t normally do shopping on a Saturday but we had to get muttlies dinners so we thought it would be an idea to do a top up shop whilst we near Sainsburys. Being typical pensioners we both forgot what day it is. Saying that it wasn’t too bad with no little people wreaking havoc. It was nice to see kids looking for books. It would be nice to think that book week encourages kids to read books. I was brought up opposite a library and management as the youngest member of her library .

Re: Weather
Grey and showers today, 9 degrees, spent most of the day tidying the "office" and getting ideas for next winter's holiday! Mothers Day tomorrow, seems we are going to a garden centre for coffee and lunch, this to me is marginally less inviting than sticking wasps where the sun doesn't shine or sitting through an episode of eastenders! Will be lovely to see the UK family though, just need an excuse to escape the prison..... sorry garden centre.

Re: Weather
Nice day here, actually got outside without a jacket on.....
Dismantled a garden shed then took it to the tip, filled the Volvo as you'd expect.
One of the operatives watched me, didn't offer to help then when half way through my task he advised me that any bits with felt on had to go in another skip, having watched me unloading all of those bits already.....I advised him exactly where the felty bits were......

Re: Weather
Forecast here is for rain all day and a high of 7°c. I refuse to speculate on whether I'll be busy today on the grounds that I'm not in charge around these parts

Re: Weather
A damp soggy day here but seems warmer. Nothing really planned for today after our walk. Management has got a bottle of wine and chocolates from the kids for Mother’s Day. I might offer to do something for tea tonight that will go with her bottle of wine. As to what goes with Lidl best red wine I have no idea.

Morning all,
5 degrees and overcast this morning and is supposed to stay that way all day. Got really cold yesterday, was surprised it didn't snow.

Re: Weather
Yes, not a pleasant day yesterday with the constant smirry rain and cold wind. A dull day ahead but at least it looks like a dry one until later on. Guess the trip to the recycling centre with the tree trimmings is looming.
Take care folks

You've gone the wrong way Monty, bright sun over the river Fal for once.
Taking the old fence down so the tip beckons for the first trailer load.

Re: Weather
A cold grey day but not raining so far. After our walk I phoned the vets to renew mutties medication and have his claws trimmed. The receptionist said he has to have a six month medication review.
Me and management have yearly medication reviews but the vets checks is another hole in our pockets every six months.
