Re: Weather
The gardener gave our grass a "high" cut at the start of the week but it's not in great condition (the garden, not the gardener ) there is a lot of moss. Much better day than yesterday although we now have a clean van for going away. Should be dry all day but the forecast does have the possibility of some showers this afternoon.
I'm getting a bit fed up with drivers cutting corners. Three times in the last few days I've had to slam on the brakes when approaching a T junction to turn right because of vehicles from the left being driven across my side of the road. Grrr.

Re: Weather
Yesterday was a day of nearly unbroken sunshine and warm enough for just shorts and no top ( not a pretty sight) on the sunbeds, lunch in the yard too.
More overcast for the early shop this morning but sun beaking through again, big load for the tip before coffee and back to hedge cutting taking care not to disturb any nests.
Looks like until after the weekend.
Safe travels to Ireland IanH.
Have a great day all

Chilly northerly wind coming of the North Sea , dry enough for a good walk with Tag at dawn to see the sunrise, lots of contrails up There this morning.
Have a nice day, only the posties and roofers are in shorts here GH.

Re: Weather
A brighter but chilly day here. With the wind being from the north we are feeling it for a change. There’s not a lot between us and the North Sea.
Nothing planned for today so I had a couple of hours me time in the workshop. Management has been making suggestions about decorating so I had best get in as much time as I can before that starts.

Whether you’re going via Fishguard or Holyhead, I don’t think you’ll encounter much of the 20mph limit, Ian.
Have a great trip!

Morning folks,
Feels cold this morning. Only about 2 degrees and it's a bit overcast but the forecast is for a sunny day with the temp getting up to around 10 degrees so might even be able to give the grass it's first cut.

Have a good trip Ian. Forecast for here suggests dry and overcast for much of today with a high of 13°c. Quite bright and sunny just now but cool. It's a sorting stuff out day for us.

Re: Weather
Blue skies and sunny forecast to stay all day. Chilly start but should warm up quickly. Odd job day for us too, couple of little things on van and repair the gate pillar where it was hit by my neighbours van when the garage towed it out.
Mowing is a twelve month job this far south West Dave.
Have a great trip Ian and a great day all.

Another cold windy day here, heavy rain showers earlier. Nice walk with Tag at dawn, great to see the sunrise.
Have a safe trip Ian, not to much of the black stuff.

Re: Weather
I hope you made it out of Norfolk safely Ian. It’s certainly chilly out today but you won’t notice that tucked up in the van.
We were due a couple of parcel’s today but posty only called with one. Half way round our walk he pulled up alongside us and said he had forgotten the second one. Management was in the shower so he couldn’t drop it off. Muttly didn’t like the idea of me carrying a long thin parcel for the rest of our walk. He is suspicious of anything different.

Re: Weather
Well, after a lovely day yesterday it's back to dismal again - gray and colourless with rain forecast for most of the day although it is dry at the moment. Just as well I cut the grass yesterday.
Was planning on going a run somewhere today but that's on hold for a bit to see what the weather does.
Take care all.

Irish Sea variable 2-3 smooth to slight becoming slight to moderate later, that'll do nicely for you Ian
Another calm sunny morning here, slightly chillier overnight and my grunting stripey friends had a party last night I think.
Good day working on little bits on the van yesterday so back out today for more gentle jobs.

Re: Weather
A lovey bright and dry day and feels warmer. Once I had sorted the toilet seat last week management started muttering about decorating our bedroom. The have the ability to sneak in a little job before major domestic warfare. Of course she told me about this ages ago and I wasn’t listening.
With the weather looking nice I had thought about going for a walk but the only exercise I am going to get for a few days with be wielding a paint roller. At least it will have to stop by Thursday because we are booked on site for next weekend.

Started bright but gone dull now. Only very slight chance of rain forecast later so should be dry for most of day. 8° at moment rising to 11.

Glad you made it Ian. It’s still cold here with the wind from the north. I was thinking of you whilst I was wielding the roller in the bedroom. The way it’s going I should be finished tomorrow. Appointments Tuesday and Thursday then Friday for packing. Hopefully the wind will switch round by the weekend.

Dry with a clear sky and 8 degrees this morning. No rain forecast. Went a run to Moffat yesterday, dull and smirry rain for the visit, heavy rain on way back - got into the house and the sun came out....typical.
