Re: Weather
Another nice start to the day, light cloud but sun starting to break through. Last 25 feet of tarmac to pressure wash today and hopefully that is it and hedge cutting begins
Hope to have a local shake down trip in van towards end of this month, as a fan of beyond paradise might have a couple of nights in Looe.
Have a great day all.

Morning All,
10 degrees and bright but overcast. Rain forecast for early afternoon so out to get a few odds and ends now.
Take care.

Re: Weather
Like many on here Tony I am sure we have hundreds of CD's in storage you would be welcome to if they are the right ones! What are you after?
A little overcast but sun is trying to break through, prospect of a not a bad day so hopefully get all the pressure washing finished today, getting really fed up with it now.
Hoping to take the van for a local shake down trip at the end of the month, might go to Looe as a fan of Beyond Paradise, see how the weather goes.

Re: Weather
Loads of CDs and even some cassettes but no tape player now, what do you need?
As for weather, started bright, couple of showers and cooler than predicted.

Re: Weather
Thanks GH and Paul for the kind offer. I've done a reset and realised that there is little point in replacing most of the damaged tapes. New CDs were acquired this morning for three that I do listen to, Bob Seger, Gordon Lightfoot and The Waterboys album "Fisherman's Blues". They provide some balance to my usual diet of Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix and Pink Floyd .
Wind picked up as forecast but the rain is just that annoying showery stuff.

Re: Weather
Glorious here today, actually feels warm, jumper off weather...
Getting colder allegedly, then a big high currently forming over the Azores coming our way by next weekend, just in time for our departure to Ireland.
Planning is all!

Re: Weather
Deary me, rain may have been forecast but nothing about the high wind - blawin a hooley and stair rods at the moment.
Don't have many CD's now, ripped most of them to MP3 as neither the car or the van has a CD player but both have USB sockets.

Re: Weather
Gorgeous this morning. Blue sky and bright sunshine. Touch chilly at 4 degrees but makes a pleasant change from the usual dismal drear we have had recently.
Take care everyone.

Re: Weather
Lovely bright and dry start here if a bit chilly during breakfast. Muttly is asleep in a patch of sun in the living room. There was a blackbird singing in the front garden at five this morning.
We need to get muttly more dinners so we will call into Sainsbury’s and do a top up shop. Maybe get something nice for tea tonight.
Next door dragged their Corinium out of storage yesterday to go away for a couple of days so there was no trio of mad dogs charging round their garden this morning. I wouldnt want to be pitched next to them.

Re: Weather
Light cloud and sunshine down here, 11 degrees and very little wind although forecast is it will ramp up later, looking like a very useable week ahead though. Pressure washing finished now it is on to hedge trimming, grass cutting followed be wall painting, should keep me quiet for a few weeks but at least that kind of work is not too physically demanding on the old bones.

Re: Weather
It must be getting warmer because we have had quite a few ladybugs around the garden. I went out to the workshop and a wasp was on the inside of one of the windows. After helping out of the door it flew straight back in.
The door was open all afternoon and I couldnt see or hear it so hopefully it’s found it’s way out again. I don’t fancy a wasps nest.

Re: Weather
Best way to deal with wasps is a quick spray of WD-40, doesn't kill them but they stop buzzing.

Re: Weather
After my mate knocked a wasps nest out of a tree on to my head at junior school they are not my favourite buzzing things.
When I was working on the buses my boss found a nest in the open top bus. He sprayed it with brake cleaner and the set fire to it. We were lucky to still have a bus but it did shift the nest.

Oh well, it was nice while it lasted - back to winter again this morning. 1 degree and raining and to stay like that for the rest of the day with the temp not getting too much better.... Wooly hat and thermals looked out again..

Re: Weather
Yes, high winds and rain for most of today. The wind is coming from a northerly direction so much colder too. Might go back to bed

Re: Weather
Colder and windier here, indeed a wind warning for today, just what I need with wifey flying into Norwich this afternoon!
However there's a big high on the way which will give us all excellent weather for the foreseeable future, allegedly.
This is why we picked the dates for our Ireland trip starting Saturday!
Tipping down here now, 0930.....

Re: Weather
Lovely day yesterday, actually managed to do a bit of gardening, but torrential rain again overnight and wind has ramped up. Just been out to retrieve a wheelie bin that's been emptied this morning. Recycling has been blown all over the road so I've had to gather it all up. As there's not a great deal of it having been away, I've brought it all back in, it can wait till next week.
Sun is shining now but the wind is awful.

Dry breezy night , good walk with Tag along the prom at dawn, sunrise behind light cloud, rain showers started around 7 , with the wind increasing from the N/W , cooler feel.
Have a nice day.

Re: Weather
I wondered why I woke up achy and uncomfortable early morning. It’s chucking it down and a cold wind.
Days like this mean I am not doing a lot apart from a short walk with muttly. If it wasn’t for muttly I would not go out on the days my arthritis flares up. As much as he is a lazy old mutt like other four legged friends he has a place in our lives.
