Re: Weather
A nice bright start to the day. It seemed warm and stuffy this morning so I went down early to make a brew. Muttly is stretched out in the middle of the floor in the sun. He won’t be going anywhere for a while.
Hopefully I can keep motivated and start washing the rest of the van.
Ian mentioned using a toothbrush to get into a bit of his van bodywork. My mate uses an old electric tooth brush for de gunking small bits in his workshop. Using a tooth brush for cleaning sounds like a form of military punishment. Hopefully my new car wash brush will suffice.

Re: Weather
Happy Easter Friday. Sunshine just now but rain likely later, at least the temperature is on the rise and should get into double figures later. Plenty of chocolate eggs left in the shops, pity there still seems to a shortage of the real things
Take ut easy.

Re: Weather
Back from the early shop, rained overnight but sunny periods now though it probably wont last long.
Back to the pressure washing, Mr Wilkes just wouldn't play ball and kept cutting out then yesterday I put the old spark plug back in and he burst in to life. Don't know if the new plug I put in was faulty but just hope he keeps going, apart from the patio he has about 250 feet of drive to do yet.
Have a great day all.

Re: Weather
No rain overnight for a change, sun shining and 10° rising to 12. Possible rain between 1 and 5 this afternoon. Will have a wander down town this morning , never drive anywhere on a bank holiday and Good Friday is well known as the busiest day of the year on the roads.

Re: Weather
The rain held off long enough for me to get three sides of the van washed. It was lunch time by then so I got changed. If it’s dry tomorrow I will move the van off the hedge when management goes to her mates for the day and finish the last side.
It’s getting chilly now so I will put the curtain across the front door after our evening meander.

Pleasant and mostly sunny day ahead with only a slight chance of a shower. Getting up to 12°c today so we might get some outside jobs done. Don't forget to put your clocks forward tonight

Re: Weather
Heavy showers, a few sunny breaks but not a great day. Up to Lidl to buy some geraniums so I am told by her Ladyship, then it is back to work outside come rain or shine. Need to get everything ship shape by end of May, before van holiday to Europe and then back to Canada until October.
Same old question keeps rearing its head, is it worth keeping the van for what little we use it, decision to be made.

Re: Weather
7 degrees and, depending on whether you look at the BBC or the Met Office, it's either going to be a dry and sunny day or it's going to be pouring all day!!!
Think I'll go with the Met Office as it's dry and reasonable sunny just now, so a thunder shower at lunchtime then nice for the rest of the day.
Going to stock up the van today for next weeks trip, deliver a couple of Easter eggs and birthday present and then relax.

Sun still shining, roof done , not perfect but better than it was, rest of van washed and dried. Solar panel should produce more power now it's free of gunge.

Re: Weather
A lovely dry and bright day here. It was a lot warmer by the time I finished the last side of the van meaning I could take my jumper off. Probably being against the hedge it was really grotty along the seams on this side. It’s not easy to get along this side unless I move off the drive on to the road. Polishing can wait for now.
Management is away for the day so me and muttly are going to have a chill out afternoon.I have a pasty and a nice cake for lunch so that will be a nice start.

Morning all. Fine day in prospect with sunny spells and a high of 15°c. Gardener got caught in a downpour of rain and hail yesterday so she will be pleased to have a decent day to finish what she started. Me......Sunday papers

Re: Weather
Typically it’s a misty start here so the van is too wet to start polishing. No matter I will move it on to the road before it gets too busy. For some weird reason the local muppets park on our road and walk across to Lidl rather than using the car park.
I can start on my Easter egg whilst the vans drying out. We have some treats for muttly rather than giving him chocolate.

Re: Weather
Rain was non stop this morning but dried up now though still overcast and threatening, this will do the tourist industry a lot of good down here for future bookings....not!
Had a solid day on the pressure washer yesterday so resting that job for a few days, management has given instructions for the next round of garden jobs but it is simply too wet today. Not often I am grateful it is raining!
Monthly finances this morning and maybe get on with the spring deep clean of the van inside later, see how it goes, lubricate all the catches, check all the screw are tight you all know the old saying fail to prepare....!

Re: Weather
The misty morning cleared up by about half ten but the wind was chilly so I started the polishing. The o/s is a big flat side making it a bit of a task to polish. The end result was patchy even using Autoglym Resin polish so I had another try but it’s not much better.
I shamefully admit this is the first time I have polished this van. The Duetto was easier being a van but polishing the Rienza is something new to me. The effort it took I am thinking a polisher would be worth investing in.
My thoughts of not going away over Easter have been right because it’s chucking it down now.

The car shop guy in Sheringham was in the car polish industry for 20+ yrs...
He sold me G3pro which is the best I've ever used Dave. Halfords have it according to Google.

Moring all,
7 degrees and cloudy this morning with rain forecast. Heading off for a few days in the van today so keeping fingers crossed the weather stays dry at least.
Take care.
