Re: Weather
Same as Paul, bright start to the day, minimum chance of rain and currently 13 degrees, back from the early shop, seemed very quiet out and about now it will be grass cutting, more polishing on the van and final check of everything for Mondays MOT. The garage I use are pretty harsh on the MOT front, might be said this is a bad thing but I can be pretty confident they will pick up any fault and I would rather the van be 110% right. Happy travels everyone.

Re: Weather
Today plans changed a bit but nothing to do with the weather even though it had stopped raining before I walked to the station.
The train should have come from Cleethorpes but appeared on a different platform slightly late. Two stations out of town it broke down. The second half cut out and wouldn’t re start. The train lady said they were going to limp to the first station off the main line because it was blocking all the trains out of Grimsby.
If we stayed on the train we would have been stuck at a station in the middle of the fields to wait until the next train. It stopped at the last station on the main line so we got off there and waited in the pub for the next one back to town. Once we got on the return train we stayed on to Cleethorpes and had lunch on the sea front.
As I said all other trains being late caused some irate passengers waiting for the Manchester and Lincoln trains. Until this happens you don’t realize that one line in and out of town could cause havoc so easily. Years ago the Diesel Multiple Units had one engine and one coach so that would have been a lot worse but todays train having two engines meant they could limp to the branch line.
After lunch we walked lunch off on the prom. Considering it was a cold breezy day there were loads of kids on the beach building sand castles.

Blue sky and sunny start, looks like being a good weekend. No water this morning, seems a burst pipe in the local village is the cause so no doubt coca cola in the pipes when we get it back. Glad we just drink bottled water!

Nice off grid overnighter in the Scottish borders, glorious sunshine now at Glentress. Mountain rescue ambulance just gone up one of the trails followed a few minutes later by Scottish Ambulance Service one, somebody's day not going to plan. Off to CMC Melrose next for rest of the weekend

Sorry to hear that Peter, a shame for all the events. Have a good flight home Tony
Another beautiful day here which calls for the sunbeds again, van ready for MOT good job I checked it all found a broken screen wash pipe, a few pence but they would have failed it
New one from Amazon tomorrow and old one repaired and working thanks to a drinking straw, super glue and gaffer tape plus a deal of inginuity.

Drove Hook of Holland to Cloppenbug (yes really!) today, cloudy but dry all the way. Sun just appeared now.
200 miles in 4 hrs, mix of roads. Such a joy that everywhere everyone doing the speed limit. No North Norfolk dithering champions doing 40 ignoring a high percentage of the local population 5mm off rear bumper

Re: Weather
Lovely dry and bright day here. We had get a few bits of shopping including dinners for muttly so we had breakfast out for a change.
Glad your trip is going well Ian. We will be on the move again in a couple weeks and glad to be away from the nightmare of roadworks here. It took management thirty minutes to get out of town last week. It normally takes ten minutes at worst when it’s busy. This week they are digging up the roundabout near us meaning there are five way traffics lights just to get out of our street.
When I took our son to Wolfsburg it was a long haul from the Hook but it was nice to be back driving on the Autobahn.

Re: Weather
Morning folks,
After a glorious weekend up north it's back to the daily grind again. 12 degrees and hazy at the moment. Met office says it's supposed to be cloudy for most of the day with bright spells in the afternoon.
Take care if your out and about.

Another sunny start, van dropped off for airbag recall, service and MOT, every time I drive the sprinter it reminds me of what a pleasure it is to drive.... even though the traffic was awful. Have no doubt they will find something to fail it on no matter how trivial, we shall see.
Out to wash down some paintwork on the house this morning, jobs never end.
Have a safe trip to all those on the road.

Re: Weather
I was up and about before you all today, well I didn't got to bed until 5am Bit of a record achieved though, plane landed at 03.25am, collected our luggage (first off the conveyor), got a taxi from our local firm (which just happened to be dropping someone else off) and we were home, in a never to repeated 50 minutes, at 04.15am.
Hope the MoT goes well GH, and safe travels to those away. Looks like a decent drying day for us today before rain returns for tomorrow and Wednesday.

Re: Weather
A dry and bright but overcast morning here. After our walk I tackled the jungle between the workshop and next doors wall. It’s a dark hole that dosnt get much sunlight so it stays damp after wet weather causing that side of the workshop to be damp.
Sadly removing the jungle exposed more work to repair the workshop wall and floor but that can wait until we have had a trip to the dump to get rid of the foliage and branches.

Re: Weather
Been a lovely sunny afternoon but the traffic is a joke at the moment, goodness knows what will be like in the main season.
TW will know this took 45 minutes to get from the Norway to Probus and the standard of some drivers beggars belief.
Van passed MOT no advisories but I still managed to spend £800 having splashed out on new discs and pads and a service.

Yep, I know it, GH, and I agree that the traffic has been horrendous recently. You’ll have noted how many serious accidents have occurred in the last few days. The one at Cambrose involved a MH.
Good news on the MOT.

Cloudy, mostly, and overcast here today , CLOPPENBURG to KIEL.
Another 200 mile day in an easy 4 hrs, such a joy on disciplined roads.
Drizzle now this evening, doesn't matter much tomorrow as on 20 hrs ship crossing to Oslo.
500 miles now from home. Mostly at 120kph, 27.5 mpg overall tank full to tank full. Btw about £1 40/ l here ...
