Re: Weather
Raining already here, forecast suggests moderate winds for this area until midnight. Lots of warnings against unnecessary travel, no problem as I'll be firmly attached to my chair today. Keep safe folks.

Re: Weather
Been chucking it down since before dawn and quite windy, with wind due to increase in next hour or two and stay very strong overnight. Hopefully everything well secured.
Vaccines yesterday wiped me out, normally go to bed at 10 and wide awake and up about six, felt achy last night so went to bed at 8, didn't get out of bed until after 9 this morning, blood sugar gone daft and felt wiped out. Haven't moved from my chair since coffee and paracetamol about 9.30. starting to feel human again and thinking about lunch options. Hopefully that is worst over. Would still rather have this for 18 to 24 hours after vaccine than risk getting flu or COVID and being wiped out for days.
Stay safe everyone

Re: Weather
A wet and blustery morning but as per yesterday it’s dried up this afternoon. It looks like it will be a chilly evening.
Daughter came up with a solution to her over weight luggage. When they leave the ship their toiletries will be open and used so they will leave them behind rather than leaking on the flight. Probably a typical man thing but I will never understand the amount of equipment the our better half’s need.

That's the wind starting to pick up now and the rain has started. Forecast to get worse over the next 4 or 5 hours but should improve by tomorrow morning - just in time to go to work....Hurrah!!!!

Wind has now dies down a bit, it's even quite mild at 10 degrees, but, in the words of Stanley Baxter....'It's scummindooninbuckets' or, for our southern friends 'My goodness, the rain is extremely heavy'

Re: Weather
Feeling back to normal after vaccinations on Saturday.
Wind died down about 5am. Don't know when rain stopped but it is mild and windy enough that roads and pavements are dry this morning.
Had to go out in the peak of the gale last night and rescue the bins, wind was curling round corner of house and knocked two of the four bins over. Relocated to be more sheltered and all's well this morning. Only damage we have suffered is handle of clothes peg basket snapped, scattering clothes pegs through remains of a hosta beside drying area. Replacement will cost about £5 so no need to involve insurance. Hope everyone survived night with no damage

Re: Weather
Rain is starting to ease of a bit now and it should be mainly dry until this afternoon when the next band of wet stuff arrives. It was a bit noisy last night but we've had worse. Hope all those who have had their jabs are feeling better. We get ours on Wednesday and, with memories of having Covid, I agree with your previous post BB.

Re: Weather
A dryer and calmer day here so I will get the van moved over. After our last night out I forgot the cassette needs emptying. I don’t think the garage will be too happy getting the van with a used cassette next week when it goes in for welding.

Re: Weather
Less wind but very autumnal here today, cooler too.
Dave, why does your cassette need welding?
My van is going into a local motorhome specialist in Dec to have the water tank removed, it leaks water from the top of the tank when full, then when we arrive at our stop its probably lost about half. So, and here's what I'm on about, he can not just get it on a lift but can also plastic weld the tank!

Showery morning forecast before it dries up around lunchtime with a high of 13°c. I see the clocks go back this weekend, have we not just set them forward

Cloudless here in the High Weald. Superb scenes earlier before the strands of mist lifted from the shallow valleys.

Re: Weather
A chilly but bright day today. An early meander because I had an appointment with foot lady. Because it was an early appointment I walked into town to have my wig trimmed.
Normally my route wouldn’t take me into town but due to road works the footpath was closed. When I got to town the subway was dug up. Once I got across town the station level crossing was closed. After a long wait and no sign of a train the barriers lifted. Coming back again the barriers were down but eventually a train came past. Further towards home another crossing was closed. This time three trains came past. It was a nice walk with a bit of train spotting en route but wouldn’t be fun if it was inclement weather.

Morning folks,
Dry this morning and 8 degrees but it feels colder. To be much the same as yesterday, sunny and reaching the mid teens...
Take care if out and about.

Re: Weather
Cloudy but dry and 8° rising to 15 later. Packing van for 3 nights away from tomorrow, weather looking OK until Sunday but we come home then so doesn't really matter except with clocks going back it'll be dark by the time we get home .
