Re: Weather
Heavy rain early this morning but staying dry until this afternoon and mild at 14°c. Many thanks to the occupants of the Roadsurfers hired vans on each side of us since last night, really enjoyed the continual door slamming and your early morning rabble was a joy to wake up to

Several little jobs around the house to do so no need to venture outside except to take and fetch wife to her line dancing.

Re: Weather
After our lovely day out in Filey and Pickering it’s back to normal with a grey damp start. Muttly was snoring loudly whist I was making breakfast. His joints are seized up after the steps in Pickering castle.
We are out with daughter for lunch so muttly can go back to sleep after our walk hopefully without getting too wet.

Re: Weather
Terrible conditions on M4 today for a journey to Bath and back ( by car, not Nuevo). It’s poured relentlessly. And heavy traffic; roadworks restricting the Severn Bridge to contra flow; and the b***** tunnels at Brynglas combined to make it a tough drive. And the object of the trip - condolences upon recent family bereavement - didn’t help.
Maybe a nice pint of Butty Bach and a meal at a local pub will improve things.
Tomorrow’s forecast looks better…..

Not home until tomorrow Boaby, most of the hired vans left to be replaced by even more hired vans. The site is so full that some of them are using the spaces normally reserved for tent campers. Weather was remarkably dry today despite the forecast, warm, dull and cloudy but no rain. We did get a bit of a shower late this afternoon and there's more to come overnight. Better tomorrow for packing up.

A nice bright and dry morning for our morning meander . It actually feels quite warm for autumn but I don’t think it’s going to last long.
Nothing too exciting planned but son is coming to use our scanner so that will involve a cupboard raid no doubt.

Wakened by heavy rain overnight, couldn't see across the road when I got up at 7 due to fog, now cleared away, 12 degrees, sunshine and cloudless sky. Good drying day for washing

Sun is up and the sky is mainly clear, hitting 14°c today with the possibility of rain tonight. Nice day for packing up but, with all these hired vans, there may be a queue at the motorhome point

Re: Weather
Dry start today but rain forecast from around lunchtime and on for the rest of the day. Temperatures are not too bad at 14°c. Could be a decent day tomorrow before we get hit with storm force winds and heavy rain on Sunday. Enjoyed our wee trip away but glad to be home with all that wet stuff coming.

Re: Weather
Sunny start, 10° rising to 15, slim chance of rain until evening, then very good chance of rain overnight. Looking forward to storm at weekend, thought we'd had enough earlier this week.

Re: Weather
A nice bright and dry start to the day. I put my jacket on for our walk but it was warm enough not to fasten it.
A quick shop is needed to get muttlies dinners and a couple of bits from Sainsburys we can’t get across the road at Lidl.
The paint I ordered for my latest project arrived whist we were out so it will be nice to have some workshop time this afternoon.

Bit later posting today as had to take the dog to the Vet to get a tooth out, to pick him up again at 2.
13 degrees and overcast at the moment with rain forecast for later on and it looks a bit ominous for the weekend.

Glorious here today if cooler than last few days, even some fog on the way to the airport this early morning.
Awesome moon last night, probably still be there again tonight!

Re: Weather
Muttly soon got over his stiff legs but he had a visit to the vets yesterday for his jabs, nail trim and re stock his medication.
Expecting a fight getting him in the car and through the door at the vets he was no trouble. The vet nurse asked if his joints were any worse with the cold wet weather during the winter. No mention of me getting soaked dragging the lazy old mutt round his walk. I would try his medication but it cost a fortune. Why don’t pensioner mutts get free medication when they retire like us .

Re: Weather
As predicted we have a dry and bright day ahead with a high of 13°c. I'll need to work something out today to stop our wheelie bins getting tipped over during tomorrow's storm

Re: Weather
Nice warm sunny day before storm hits tomorrow.
Just been for COVID and Flu jabs, original appointment for end November but I rebooked into cancellation for today. Nurse said did I get a letter inviting me? Said yes but rescheduled, Ah she says that explains it, didn't expect any young people today....staff member injecting me said she was as surprised as me at comment, born 1958 like me and said it was a while since she was called young!

Re: Weather
After a short walk due to a damp morning it’s cleared up to be a nice bright if chilly afternoon. We had to go out late morning into the wolds. As we got to Caistor the clouds were nearly down to field level. It’s the first time I had to put headlights on at lunch time because of the mist.
Management is making the most of the bright afternoon to turn up some trousers for daughter ready for going on their cruise next week. She was saying her case is already over weight for the flight back. Her grandad used to put his shaving gear in one jacket pocket and sandwiches in the other. Any spare clothes went in Grandma’s case. I’m
