Re: Weather
Had a run down to Gourock today - chilly wind blowing off the water but at least it stayed dry. AS sitting in the car park there called Dippy. Seem to remember posting a welcome to a new member with that van but can't seem to find it now.....
Anyhoo, still chilly at 7 degrees with rain sfor tonight.....

Re: Weather
Thanks, that's the very one Paul, I was beginning to think I'd imagined it.
Drizzly this morning but quite mild at 11 degrees. Forecast is for it to dry up later on but remain dull all day.

Re: Weather
White a nice weekend, dry and not windy. Very foggy this morning so far
Bumped into an old work colleague in supermarket yesterday who I haven't seen seen I stopped doing consultancy work due to COVID lockdown in 2020. Quick update from her confirmed that retiring was best decision I have made in many years. In some ways nothing has changed and in others I wouldn't recognise my old job. Internal politics still the same, when I got home I looked online for local health and social care partnership reports, language and achievements don't seem any different from reports I wrote as a senior manager over a decade ago. Same corporate bull***t. Reckon if I had stayed in that job I would have had heart attack or stroke by now due to stress.
Reminder to us all to enjoy each day.

Re: Weather
Bit of drizzle overnight but clearing now to leave a cloudy day, milder though at 15°c. I gave the gardener (under duress ) some assistance outside yesterday, it was blinking perishing in the cold wind.
BB, I also did some private consultancy work for a couple of years after retiring. It does give you a different perspective on an organisation by looking in rather than looking out. I had a choice of going, seeking promotion or taking a job offer from a national organisation. I chose going and have never regretted it.

Re: Weather
After a great weekend in Shrewsbury, we got home around 2pm yesterday, rain started around 4.30 and didn't stop until the early hours . Dry now but cloudy and dull but good chance of further rain, temp 14 which will remain all day.

Re: Weather
The van needed to be at the garage at eight so rather than dragging management out to bring me home I decided to walk home whilst the rain had stopped. Typically part way home it started raining again. It was only a short shower and it’s now dry and bright for mutltlis walk.
Another day waiting for a parcel so that will it for today. At least the post office have said it will be here by three hopefully management hasn’t got any plans she hasn’t told me about or I have forgotten.

Re: Weather
Morning Boaby,
Dull this morning but dry and pretty warm at 11 degrees. Met Office says the morning will get sunny but will cloud over again in the afternoon with the temperature staying much the same all day.

Re: Weather
Lovely sunrise, but cloudy and dry for today with a high of 13°c. Out on a mission this morning, bit of shopping before coffee with my brother. I nipped into Tesco for a couple of things yesterday and used the "card only" self checkout. You scan the stuff, click you want to pay and it asks how you want to pay...........err

Re: Weather
Lovely warm sunny morning, 14C and gentle breeze. Just been to collect prescriptions for household, unusually all ready at same time. Needed a carrier bag. Then on to recycling centre following clear out of cupboard in back hall, two bin bags of shoes and boots still serviceable but no longer worn, and one with coats and fleeces that no longer fit..everyone claims the clothes have shrunk since being put in the cupboard!

Re: Weather
A lovely morning here and it must be warmer because the heater in the workshop has tripped off. It will be nice to have some time in there with the door open this afternoon.
