Misty this morning and 11 degrees. Rain forecast for this afternoon and the temp isn't going to get much warmer.

It’s certainly been a soggy walk this morning. When we got back muttly was in a real sulk. I rubbed him dry but left the towel draped over him whilst I took my wet shoes off. When I got back to him he was standing with the towel still draped over him. As daughter says he is a special dog.

Well - you were right Ian, started raining around lunchtime yesterday and hasn't stopped since. Forecast is for more of the same today but it should start clearing up tomorrow.

Re: Weather
No rain here, overcast today and a little cooler, yesterday saw a few sunny breaks, forecast seems to be the same for the next few days. Keep looking at downsizing from Hog Castle, saw a bungalow on rightmove in Perranwell Station a nearby village which just came on the market, viewed yesterday and made an offer, whether it will come to anything remains to be seen. Today's task to get on with cleaning the van before it gets a service and MOT early next month then off to France and wherever.

Re: Weather
We decided to get the train to Lincoln mainly to look for some new walking boots for management and have a nice lunch out. It stayed dry but the breeze seemed chilly.
After lunch at the Cosy Club we tried the bigger walking gear shop. Having a dodgy ankle after her accident and a problem with her tendon in her other ankle means a lower back and wider fitting . There was little choice and nothing comfortable.
The smaller shop had wide fitting and ladies style with a lower back. Also they were on offer at more than half the price of the well known big brands. For the amount she walks at that price they will do.
Amongst the lower price items I found a waterproof jacket. The one I keep in the van is at least ten years old so over due change.
Until it was time for the train we had a mooch about. The breeze was straight up high street so we retreated for afternoon tea. I spotted a doughnut stall and indulged in small tray of mini doughnuts with caramel sauce. It was a nice finish to the day.

Re: Weather
Nice start here, what was clear blue sky has now partly clouded over. Showers forecast for most of Bank Hol weekend, as is utterly predictable.....

Re: Weather
Morning all,
Back from the early shop, seemed to be loads of pickers in Sainsbury's this morning, must be a bank holiday, plenty of traffic about too including early departing motorhomes.
Dry again but overcast, supposed to improve later and then showers over the weekend, we wont be going far at the moment,
Enjoy the vacation and have a great day all

Morning everyone,
Bit better this morning. Dry and overcast. Still a bit chilly and some light rain forecast for later on in the day but nothing like what we have had over the past couple of days.

Morning folks,
Dry but dull this morning. 11 degrees and rising to mid to high teens later on. Rained quite a bit late on yesterday but nothing forecast for today.
Take care all.

Re: Weather
As, accurately, predicted(!) peein down here.
I have a plan....if it always rains on Bank Holidays why not just not have them, then the weather will, automatically , be better.....

Re: Weather
17 degrees and sunny but a cool breeze blowing which make sit feel colder. Rain is forecast for later.
Not much planned for the weekend, just avoiding the emmets over the bank holiday by staying around the house and doing a few tasks as I feel like them.

Re: Weather
Started lovely and sunny, gone a bit grey now. Slight chance of rain today, temp 14 rising to 17.
Never go anywhere in car or van on a BH, so just a wander down town for a look around the market this morning.

Re: Weather
Agree Paul. Friday after lunch and all BH, No driving anywhere!
Lesson learned there....Bilbao to Portsmouth, our only rough crossing of Biscay. Delayed into Portsmouth, then another hour delay getting into the port. Just in time to hit M25 at 4pm on a Friday!! No ferry arriving Friday from then on!

Re: Weather
A pleasant start to the day but the breeze felt chilly as we got home from our walk. I managed do some trimming in the garden and helped management to pull down some rampant ivy.
After lunch a light drizzle started so that will save me watering anything.

Re: Weather
Typical bank holiday weekend because it’s a grey and damp start to the day. From memories of being away with the kids I can remember them building sand castles on the beach wearing all in one waterproof suites. Having said that wet kids and a dog in a tent may have helped us move to motorhome travels.

Re: Weather
Yesterday tea time we had a thunderstorm and torrential rain for about an hour. This morning it’s bright and dry.
Muttly wasn’t sure about the thunder and kept looking at us and the window. He seems ok this morning because he was mooching round the garden whilst I was sorting breakfast.
Nothing really planned for today after our morning walk.

Re: Weather
Just back after a wet week in Whitby, some sunny periods, but mostly sea fret/har and heavy rain.
Fortunately we had a comfortable Pod with great views of Salt wick bay.
Lovely sunrise this morning , nice drive back over the moors, heavy rain shower on now.
Have a nice day.

After a break up Oban / Fort William came back today to torrential rain, wasn't taking time to come down. Thankfully dried up a bit now.

It's been a very pleasant afternoon down the bottom at Black Horse Farm. Not warm enough for shorts and t shirt and nippy up by reception but unexpectedly nice. The A50, M1, M25, M2 & M20 were ok for 250 miles today but twice a year is enough.
