Today I fitted a voltronic standby battery charger, same as a battery master but half the price.
The reason we went this way rather than a dual solar charger is that is will charge the vehicle battery while on mains without switching the 12v on in the winter.
Rather straight forward a wire goes from each battery through a 10a fuse to the charger and it trickle charges the vehicle battery once the hab battery is near full.

Charger works well keeping the vehicle battery topped up on solar and mains.

Jobs for today.

Wardrobe has never been the best use of the space as stuff gets piled up in there and the things that need hanging up are too long, so shelves needed to be fitted.
Why don't autosleeper give this as an option, and supply removable shelves?

Small things needed doing, the piano hinge pin in the bathroom door had dropped so needed a bit of persuasion back in. The cam fixings around the bathroom all needed tightening up, and the glasses made a noise so fitted some rubber draught  strip.

Finally for today the handle for the awning lives in the under bench storage area and is a pain to get out. I have wondered where else it can go and it does fit, just right where it needs to be.

I fastened my handle on inside of washroom door, rarely  wind out the awning.

You can get an electric motor for these awnings, but they tell you to still carry the handle in case it doesn't work. Sounds a bit pointless!

I must admit this was one mod I attempted and I was delighted with the result. For me it makes the space much more suitable for my needs. I did it a year ago and it’s transformed the space.

Well done Sally, why did you leave the rail there?

The chairs we had were never good for the back as the were curved, from another thread suggestion I have purchased these Royal easy lounger chairs,  the duo does not have space for the folding type. These are expensive and heavy but well made and comfortable. And just fit in the smaller side of the under bed storage areas.

Can I ask how you're attaching the shelf batons to the sides of the wardrobe please?

I was wondering about shelves too. Also if it would be worth having a slightly raised lip at the front to stop things sliding out if you were parked slightly on the tilt.

I used 3m double sided tape as there is not much load apart from straight down. Top shelves mostly used for clothing that does not tend to move too much.

I was in the van.....
The van was in storage....
The screwdriver was at home hugegrins

But adding the shelves (and the light before that) makes the cupboard ideal for me.

I always keep tools on the van, you never know when you will need them even just a set like this

of one wanted that 'cupboard' to actually perform as a wardrobe, shouldn't the rail be shortened and fitted north/south which would allow sufficient width to hang clothes (the depth looks fine)?
with the rail as fitted, there doesnt look to be suffient depth (front to rear) to fit a sweater/coat.
my own van came with an 'expanding' wardrobe but with the rail 'the wrong way round'...i just changed this (needing a longer rail) and ended up literally doubling the capacity.

Fire stick 4k added to the van today, £26 on prime day was too good to miss. Much faster than the Roku I had before.

Thanks for the heads-up. Saving too good to miss, it would be impolite not to.

Just been delivered and will fit to Moho this afternoon up!

4 new Michelin cross agilis crossclimates fitted today. Only changed due to age as the old Bridgestone's were hardly worn and no visible degradation.

New ones seem much bigger despite just being 10mm wider. Rough surfaces are much less jarring. Will give them a proper run next week.

If the tires are 10mm wider are they also of greater diameter and has this affected the speedometer accuracy?

First long drive on the cross climate's today, very impressed ride is definitely more comfortable. The Bridgestones must have been solid having only gone down 1 mm in 28,000 miles.

Not tried on grass yet but so much nicer on the road, wish we had done it sooner. More affected by white lines then the old ones but only slightly. As we had sorted most of the rattles for the hard tyres it is mostly silent on the softer ride. First trip to Wales for a few years fantastic site, run by the national trust . Why don't they do this on all of the sites?

Very much the same experience with new Cross Climates, so much quieter on the road than the factory-fitted Bridgestone Duravis tyres.
