Re: Auto-Sleeper Warwick Duo Modifications 2017+
Do you need the rod when you've got struts?

I put struts on mine because I didn't have a rod on either side.

Re: Auto-Sleeper Warwick Duo Modifications 2017+
I suspect that you may be a little disillusioned. There is seldom a journey where, at some stage I do not question my Garmin's sanity, decide to ignore it and find that my arrival time has become significantly earlier after the junction in question. Definitely an aid and not a guide! Having said, that my unit is not the Tourer 2 (which you picked up on here a few days ago) and I do find it useful.jennyandpeter wrote:Hetty has another new toy, normally I just use a phone but will give the garmin tourer two a try to see how it compares.

I am more interested in Pumpkin - can I assume that this is a far Eastern replacement for the Peugeot radio? What was involved in the swap? I presume that you found a suitable housing to fit into the curved dashboard but what about the steering whe controls and the interface, particularly the Canbus aspects? From what I have previously seen the friendly(?) neighborhood Peugeot dealer has to be brought in with his expensive diagnostics to enable the vehicle to recognise an aftermarket radio - or was that not necessary? Does the Pumpkin Bluetooth for phone and usb or SD card for music etc? Would appreciate details of fitting including any difficulties. Thanks

Have a look here for parts including steering wheel adapters put the year of your van in
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
No dealer needed as all the bits are plug and play you need a seperate dab adapter for my model but it works well .
Pumpkin has bluetooth and micro usb card
lots of wires but with the correct adapters you cant go wrong.

Re: Auto-Sleeper Warwick Duo Modifications 2017+
Well hetty is back from her longest trip so far, as above I did not get on with the Garmin due to being so used to google. 2500 miles without a hickup, gas lasted the 2 months 50/50 electric on site and only gas in other places. So glad about changing the tyres due to the rough road surfaces. Solar worked well ( due to the sunny days)
Very few brits that far south this year and we did not find a site we could not get in. Will do a write up in travels section soon.[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

It has taken us a few days to get right through all the pages of this topic/thread but all very informative thank you. Think I maybe trying a few of the simpler mods but really fancy a Pumpkin for Christmas!! Cheers.

Thanks for the thanks, Kendo.
S5 A13 Bosch AGM Car Battery 12V 95Ah Type 019 S5A13 purchased from Tanya batteries as I could tell the old one did not have the urge it used to have, will find out if the original was from new but we have had the van 6 years so it was doing quite well if it was replaced just before we got her.

Warwick Duo steering/wheel mod.
Hi All
I have really enjoyed browsing this site for ideas/mods and have incorporated some of them myself on our van.
I would like to share one of my ideas for locating a steering and wheel lock, also the warning triangle.
All i used material wise were Velcro ,shelf supports, and some dense foam.
Regards Steve [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Re: Auto-Sleeper Warwick Duo Modifications 2017+
Hetty needs a repair on the bathroom door . After a cold night a few weeks ago I noticed the skin on the shower door had cracked. Called autosleeper and while the lady was helpful the no longer have the cherry white material in stock. It looks very similar to the beech we have in the kitchen. I can get fablon the right size but the stuff autosleepers use seems thicker.
Anyone had to do this before before?

Door looking much better now, I used a roll of sticky back plastic, very blue peter like. The match is very good, decided to leave the shelf off as we never used it. Strange how it went like this.

Just purchased a new mirror as the edge was showing signs of wear. Yes very few autosleepers nearby.

Just had some one borrow our van and was so impressed with the ride he is going out to get the Michelin cross climates we had fitted recently, best change we have made to the van as it makes the ride so much more comfortable.

Re: Auto-Sleeper Warwick Duo Modifications 2017+
That's interesting, when I weighed our Duo loaded for a week away, full fuel and water and checked on tyre safe it came back as F 63 R 55 on 215/70/15 tyres.

Re: Auto-Sleeper Warwick Duo Modifications 2017+
I had mine weighed, on 225s , so light at back that tyresafe suggested 48 rear, on van tyres not campers. I run at 58 all round and it still feels harsh.
