Just back from collecting daughter from Edinburgh Airport, dull drizzly and generally depressing conditions but at least it is dry now. Daughters running on New York time do has gone to bed, I have been up since 5.30 so may have a snooze in my chair later

Goodbye Scotland, till next time.
I think the good weather in N Wales has finished now.  It was still sunny this morning but was we drove away we could see change was in the air.  We are now close to the border and its overcast but no rain yet!

Booked for a week away in early October. Management wants to visit Ironbridge museums and see a knitting exhibition in Llandudno, so two centre trip. Morris leisure sites at Bridgenorth and Betws y Coed booked, 3 nights each 3 for 2 offer on both, and CMC discount as affiliated sites. £73.60 for three nights hard standing inc. ehu. Happy with that.
Less than £25 a night including bells and whistles seems very good.  During our current trip we stayed close to Bridgnorth and visited Betws y Coed.  Both are very good places.

The cloud cover didn't break yesterday and it looks like a repeat today. Although there was no rain, at times the air felt moist. Given the forecast for the week, this might be the last dry day for a while around these parts.

Another misty morning early hours but it feels like it’s going to be a warm day. Nothing really planned for today so I might have a bit of thinking time in the workshop whilst I am waiting for materials for my next project.

We are in the rain now at Malvern and not expecting it to improve before we head home.  It was good to have the sunny weather we had on our first trip to N Wales with a motorhome or caravan.  The scenery was top class. I think we will be back but probably not to Bethesda.

It was dry on M6 until around Preston, steadily got worse as we got to Liverpool/Manchester area, then stopped as we got near home. 2 hour later and its chucking it down now.
Traffic was heavy for a Sunday especially heading north.

Dull but dry again today, top temperature will be 13°c but it feels much colder than that. Stay safe, whether at home or away.

Forecast was for dry sunny day, sitting watching perpetual drizzle with heating on.

Tried to go with daughter no2 to IKEA in Edinburgh a few weeks ago to get some units she wanted to improve storage in a large cupboard in her house, but had to abort trip as out of stock. Came into stock last Friday, since first attempt IKEA have launched a new service, click and collect to local Tesco so thought I would give it a go. Their idea of local was car park in Tesco Extra in Dundee, 18 miles away. Much better than driving moho to IKEA 85 miles away and having to lug the 3 boxes through store and car park. Got text this morning saying order on their van and when my collection time slot was. Another text saying it was onsite ready for pick up, describing where van was in car park. Less than 5 minutes from arriving to leaving with boxes. Delivered to daughter's house and back home quicker than we would have been to get to IKEA, never mind buying units, delivering to her house then driving home. Not a service we would use every week, but highly recommended. Added bonus is got only what daughter needed, no opportunity for impulse in store purchases. Another successful use for WXL taking three 2.2m long boxes in centre aisle.

We've seen very little rain during our trip that started late August but heavy this afternoon at Old Hartley.

Can just about see the lighthouse (covered by a tent during repair work) through the gloom.

The heavy rain finally seems to have stopped at Malvern.  All I managed today was a very short cycle to Caravanstuff4u who really do stock everything.  Luckily I managed to walk into Malvern yesterday with a brolly without getting too wet but got wetter in the afternoon when I cycled to Upton-upon-Severn.  Going home tomorrow.

Another day of cloud and cold weather, should be mainly dry but the chance of rain is increasing with widespead showers getting blown in. Had a phone call every day for the last three days telling me my Sky deal needs updated. Never had Sky in my puff, as I explained to the callers, sure they got the message  biggrin

An overcast but dry start to the morning. Our son recommended a pub just out of town that served a nice buffet breakfast so we fancied a change. It was fixed price all you can eat as proved by a young guy next to us. He had a plate full twice including four sausages each time.
When we came out the car park was damp but I didn’t notice it raining during our breakfast. By the time we got home it was dry enough for me to do a couple a repair to the workshop roof and have a tidy in there up ready for an upcoming job.

Time was I could eat four sausages, not sure I could now and definitely not then repeat. Four would be a challenge nowadays, find portion sizes are naturally getting smaller, management and I now share a portion of chips when getting chippy tea rather than two suppers.

1C and hard frost this morning. Ice on car windscreens. Van has water fresh tank as we are away at the end of next week and not worth draining down. Didn't want dump valve to trigger to put can on ehu on drive last night and put oil heater in.
After busy days since middle of last week finally got a day with nothing planned, so quiet couple of hours this morning listening to music I think.

Have a good day

Yesterday's showers didn't come to much and there were some good sunny breaks but it's still cold. It was a clear night with little cloud so we have some frost on the grass this morning. Top temperature today is just 12°c but it should stay dry. We're out to a restaurant this evening for a meal to celebrate my brothers 80th birthday with him and his family. Better take the marigolds incase I need to do the washing up  snigger

Another overcast but dry day so far giving me time to get another repair job done on the workshop. The security light has not worked for a while so for piece of mind I had a trip to Screwfix.
For about £12 they had a neat light with a PIR. Compared to the one I moved off the drive it was easy to set. The other one comes on in daylight no matter how I set it.
Now we will be able to see what Muttly is up to in that corner of the garden in the evenings. doggy
