Re: Weather
Enjoy the 16 today Paul, due to drop to 13 tomorrow as a max.
Just had 6 monthly check at dentist. For some reason wanted to x ray teeth, can't remember last time that was done. Anyhow all good again and no treatment needed

Re: Weather
I'm hoping the east coast will be a bit more sheltered (travel in hope rather than expectation?). Nice one Bob, I want to redo the Birks in Aberfeldy. Something happened to the memory card in my camera when we last walked it and all the waterfall photos were ruined by some kind of weird interference.

Re: Weather
The overnight rain has passed us by and the clear sky has caused the temperatures to plummet with today's high being 13°c. The wind is expected to ramp up later and tomorrow will be colder than today with snow in the forecast fir high ground. Looks like a decent day for travelling though. Enjoy your whatever you're doing.

Re: Weather
After the thick mist on Sunday it was a lovely bright day yesterday for our visit to Strata Florida Abbey and the drive up to Tywyn.
The wind picked up during the night but we are pitched overlooking the coast with no shelter. There’s supposed to be showers today but we are only planning to walk down to the railway and see iff muttly will get on the train. He got into the tram depot and on the tram in Seaton so maybe he will be ok. I doubt he has been near a steam train or any trains for that matter.

Re: Weather
Good run over to Dunbar, not so good for those heading the other way with long delays because of an overturned lorry at Hermiston gate. Very windy and on the cool side but there's lots of blue sky and bright sunshine so that'll do.

Re: Weather
Lovely bright sunny morning with a clear blue sky and......6°c it should hit a heady 12°c later when the sun has had a chance to do its work. At least the strong winds have abated so it's decent walking weather.

Re: Weather
After heavy rain and high winds during the night it has settled down to a nice bright and slightly breezy morning.
After breakfast it’s pack up time and a short walk before we start heading east.
Tonight we are stopping at Llangollen for the night before heading towards Buxton for the last two nights.
We have had a good two weeks away but I hate the thought of turning east towards home. Unfortunately managements friend has been nagging her to go away with her all summer but as she is still working it has to fit in with her shifts meaning they go away Monday. I hope they enjoy a riotous time in Scarborough.

Re: Weather
It did drop as low as 6 in the night but it's 8° now with a high of 14 later. Clear blue sky and sunshine, wind eased so shout be nice walk along seafront to harbour, about a mile away.

Re: Weather
Same temperature here but it will rise to a mighty 12°c later. Good walk into Dunbar yesterday with lots of waders on show and, of course, the grey seal that inhabits the harbour. I'm surprised it doesn't charge for photos as it poses

Re: Weather
Heading off to Strathclyde park for weekend, visiting New Lanark tomorrow the meeting sister and her hubby on Saturday. Forecast down to 2 degrees tonight so definitely need heating on tonight.
Both daughters just took off from Edinburgh for 10 days in New York and attending wedding of uni friend for no 2 daughter. Love them both dearly but now have 10 days without phone calls to sort out minor issues like moving sofas, replacing window sills etc.

Re: Weather
Another night of intermittent heavy rain and wind just outside Llangollen last night but it eased off enough for a short morning stroll before packing up this morning.
Typically as I started to pack up I had to retreat and put my hat coat on as the rain started. It rained intermittently until just outside Ashbourne when we stopped for lunch. After a quick top up shop at Aldi the sun came out until we were a mile from the pub and we had a cloud burst with hail stones.
My plan for tomorrow was a nice walk on the High Peak Trail followed by pub tea but we will see how the weather behaves tomorrow.

Re: Weather
Morning all.
22 degrees and sunny on Mount Benson this morning, busy taking grandchildren to and from school, swimming, air cadets how their mum copes with the four of them going all over the shop is a miracle.
Smores on the fire pit last night , hoping for Northern Lights in the next few days
Behave yourselves back in blighty and take care wherever your travels take you.

Re: Weather
Morning GH, good to see you're enjoying yourself. Coldest night so far, only 6°c currently but it should be double that later. We're moving down the coast to Northumberland today, weather seems to be improving a bit so we might get something a tad warmer over the weekend. Take care folks.
