Re: Weather
Smashing day here, no chance of taking it easy as the entertainment officer told me we were going for a walk. All worth it as I was rewarded with lunch at the Mill Race tearoom, highly recommended. Getting cool now as the the weather changes for tomorrow.
My three favourite tee shirts, one said "two beer or not two beer, that is the question", another had "save Take the High Road" ,(old Scottish soap) on the front and "Act now" on the back. The last one, which I owned, parodied a Desmond Dekker song and said "me ears are alight"

Lovely warm sunny day. Both cars and the van got a quick wash and vacuum.
First two plums of the season harvested from plum tree, didn't tell anyone else and had them both. Delicious

Re: Weather
I was really surprised to see boxes of Victoria plums in the shops down in the Lakes, in fact the market stall was already trying to shift the over ripe variety. Not much to report on the weather front except to say it's pouring. We're heading back up the road today with a stop off on the way for a couple of days to meet friends. Should make for an entertaining trip.

Re: Weather
Another bright and warm start here. Now the garden bin has been emptied we are going to decant the mound of weeds and garden rubbish. We might have to take the excess to the tip in the car. Getting to the tip takes a bit of planning due to road works but the bin being emptied every two weeks and us being away the rubbish soon stacks up.
The weather lady says it’s likely to rain this afternoon so that might clear the air a little.

Funny old day today, warm with sun and rain at the same time, I think they call that Cornish sunshine.
Promises to be much better tomorrow, hoping the forecasters are right.

Re: Weather
A warm start this morning after a cooler night. It rained for about 10 minutes just as we got back from our evening walk last night.
I thought it was my imagination but it’s definitely getting dark earlier. We get home from our evening walk at about half eight and the light is fading fast by then. We leave the sitting room curtains open in the summer but it’s getting towards closing the curtain’s early.

Not your imagination Dave, it is!
Shortest day was 20 June so downhill to winter!
I sit in my garden some nights watching and listening to bats, what was 2130 is now 2030 for approx same light level..

Re: Weather
The journey over the A66 was exciting yesterday with driving rain and the wind pushing the van about. Rain stopped around 2pm and the sun came out. Bright today with some cloud but no rain on the forecast, down side, the high is only 16°c. Upside, it makes for great walking weather.

Pleasant day yesterday, sunny but cool at times. More cloud today with rain expected this evening, by which time I hope to be well ensconced in my favourite chair at home with a glass of something red (not cranberry)

Re: Weather
Drove to Porthmadog yesterday, lovely and sunny with views to rival Scotland, not many roads in North Wales we haven't driven but can't remember doing that one. On another THS now, sunny start but temp only 16 rising to the dizzy heights of 17 with a fair chance of rain not looking good for the week ahead but we are only here for the weekend.

Re: Weather
Overcast with a slightly chilly breeze here this morning. A day of getting odd jobs done to get the van ready for our next trip. Management tackled a couple of marks on the carpet and I chucked some Lidl Cola in the grey tank to soak overnight. Tomorrow I will have a drive round the industrial estate to give it a good stir round before draining it. Considering what it does to the grey tank I would want to drink the stuff.

Re: Weather
We loved the area around Porthmadog Paul, we spent 3 weeks camping at Tyddyn Llwyn back in the 80s. Back home and we should get the rest of our holiday washing dried today before the rain hits us this evening. It's pretty cool too with a stiff breeze blowing. Looks like the week ahead is unsettled with lots of wet stuff in the forecast.

Re: Weather
It will be somewhere Boaby but still to be arranged, hope your leg is better today. Dull and cloudy with some serious rain on the way, there's a yellow weather warning for the south of Scotland. Might be a good day for staying in

Re: Weather
Very dull and cloudy at Porthmadoc but doesn't matter as we are homeward bound today.
Edit- 10 minutes later and it's chucking it down.

Dull and cloudy with a few spots of rain, worse to come this afternoon it would seem. Plenty to do indoors, mostly admin stuff but it has to be done. See my other grumpy post!
