Weather

Looks like a dry morning and wet afternoon for us, getting up to 19°c. The temperature is pretty academic as it still feels cold. Still (keeping on the theme of Wogan), mustn't grumble 

We didn't get the forecast rain yesterday but we have it this morning instead. Really cool as well.

A slightly overcast but warm start to the day. The pre trip jobs are being ticked off each day. Today we have time for a slightly longer walk before the jobs can start.
 I will get the bedding out of the locker and leave it out to air firstly before the mucky job. Getting fence gunk on the duvet won’t go down well.

Good walk with Tag around dawn, overcast with the occasional rain shower, mild at 18 degrees .
Town is still very busy with trippers, 2 haddie fish suppers £21.80, once a month treat now.

I was led to believe it was going to be a dry day but the weather people told fibs. Management put the washing out and it rained for half an hour. I decided to get the fences done after lunch and it started drizzling. By about half one it dried up so I got on with the fence treating. 
All done and it’s a nice warm evening for our evening meander before bed.

A dry start and it should stay this way for most of today although there are still showers in the forecast. It's also cooler at 16°c.

Warm and sunny after a cloudy start, manged to get the lawns cut and finished clearing the drains so a lot done today. Early shop tomorrow and the forecast is looking good so winding down to departure next weekend.
Training day at RNAS Culdrose today, three Grob 115E trainers flying circuits over the house, nice to watch but couldn't they find something quieter to learn on, noisy little beggars they are.

Just been out bat watching, surprised how cold it was, and clear, new eye lens had no probs seeing Venus!
Gonna be calm the next few days, high settling in over Uk. Gridwatch tells me that they have coal fired on spinning reserve to compensate for the lack of renewables.......

Just watched an item on the news about the new wind turbines in Shetland? saying they are not running because there is no demand.
Odd too, I have also been bat watching, 147 by Joe Root an excellent innings.

That kind of bat watching is an insomnia cure....

A lovely fresh and bright morning. Whilst I was making breakfast Muttly was lying in a patch of sun snoring loudly. If it’s going to be a warm day it might be a good idea to have a few more comfort breaks during our travels . He sleeps between the front seats with the air vents blowing on him but getting out for a couple minits to stretch his legs will be better for him.

More rain yesterday than forecast but what's new 

We're expecting a dry day and 17°c so that'll be nice. We've got some parcels to collect so I guess there will be more shopping done too. The random sunflowers are out, bit on the big side but very cheery.

Glorious sunny morning but only 9 degrees when we left for the early shop, warming up now and should be hot later.

Bright sunny start but only 11° just now, rising to 18. Weather app says 0% chance of rain for whole of day.

Lovely warm late summer's day, van returned by number 2 daughter after a trip to Lake District. Managed to get all bedding towels etc washed, dried and back into van ready for a short weekend break we have planned in a fortnight.

Replacement 12v element for fridge finally available so van going in a week on Tuesday for fitting. No power on 12v hasn't stopped us using van.

It’s been a lovely warm day cooling off this evening making it pleasant to have a walk with sister and brother in law. Muttly was in need of a comfort break by the time we got to Newark but slept the rest of the journey.

Another decent day in prospect with it being mainly sunny and the wind has dropped. There is some light cloud but we don't expect rain, wow, two days in a row   Temperature should hit 20°c later so we might even get to sit outside. Happy travels if away.

Nice start to the weekend, Forfar gala day tomorrow should be dry, was rescheduled after torrential rain and floods caused original date in June to be abandoned.

Plan today is to trim the lavender plants in front of the lawn.

Cool dry dawn at 10 degrees, good walk with Tag along the prom,called in for some rolls and bacon.

Been a nice day today, mostly sunny and warm. Invited to a neighbours house for drinks and snacks this evening, we never get invited anywhere so made a nice change. Believe it may be all change weather wise tomorrow before improving again towards the following weekend which will be great for our drive to Gatnick Airport ( not a typo the other airport in London is Theifrow).

Bit cloudy today but forecast to be dry until late afternoon when the rain returns. My big plan for today is sorting stuff, the stuff can either be described as important for fixing things (me) or a waste of space (not me). Take care if travelling, is it red or brown sauce on the rolls Boaby?

overcast but still quite warm and little wind. Finish the gutter cleaning today, holding a 24 foot pole for very long is beyond me these days so it has been a bit at a time. Looking at what we have packed for our flight this week I reckon we need Ian's hercules, the good news is not much of it will be coming back.
