Disappointing day here with sea fret on the South Coast, E wind is not clearing it. Forecast hot afternoon but it isn't happening.

About to start a trip on what is forecast to be the hottest day of the year (+34 but at 0800 this morning it was only 21).  I run my rear tyres at 5.5 bar which is their max cold tyre pressure.  This morning they were 5.7 bar so had to let air out.  As it cools down during the trip I will have to put air back in.  The opposite happened during a winter trip this year when the morning temp was -7 so I had to put air in.  On the last day of the trip the morning temp was 15 so I had to let air out.  I don't know whether these sometimes unseasonal swings in temp is a climate change thing but it's something to think about when it comes to tyre pressures.

Thunder and lightning with heavy rain after lovely day yesterday. Outside jobs will have to wait. Annual meeting with financial guru this afternoon, first since started getting state pension as well as my NHS one

Sun finally made an appearance at about 3pm yesterday but back to mizzle this morning.
Supposed to be hedge cutting but it may have to wait a while.

Cloudy and cool breeze at dawn, sun behind the clouds, brief 20 minute rain shower earlier, 27 degrees and full sun .
We have these mad bike riders here too Tony, they keep the East yorks Air ambo busy , sadly one lost his life a few weeks ago on the Buckton road near here.

Very warm yesterday here, car told me 29c. Rained a wee bit early evening, but blue skies again here, 28c forecast.

Then, allegedly, downhill to winter after Thursday!!!

Dry warm night, roasting hot this morning , 24 degrees with a Light breeze. Good dawn walk with Tag in the cool pre dawn.

Another warm day as per yesterday but I remembered to put the fan on in the bedroom last night so I managed a decent nights sleep.
The garden jobs can wait until it cools down a bit. I walked down to see foot lady before lunch and that was enough. Our son is coming round this afternoon so I can check his bike. He is riding to work and working in a pub kitchen. Not a job I would like in this weather it was bad enough when I was doing breakdown work.

Don't panic guys the rain is on the way. Started here about 09.30 and now just grey and damp, should clear this afternoon. Forecast good for tomorrow
A morning of pottering around Waitrose and Marks so this afternoon will be spent recovering from financial shock.Have a great day all

Rain has gone sun returned at last!

We had several hours of rain yesterday afternoon/evening  well at least didn't have to water the garden. Dry overnight,  sunny morning but only 14° rising to 19 later with no rain forecast today.

Light over night showers stopped at dawn long enough to get tag out for a wee donder, heavy downpour at 6, not enough to fill the water butts.
Nice cool north easterly breeze,temperature down to 20 now,feels warmer.
Local Aldi very handy to me Tony, 600 ml brown bottles of SM have longer codes on them.

Beautiful morning in Falmouth this morning Carribbean Princess is moored in the bay so hundreds of tourists enjoying being fleeced.. I mean enjoying the local hospitality
Ship is off to Iceland and Greenland

An early start to drop of managements car for service and the dreaded MOT. Walking back through town it seemed cooler in the breeze. 
We had a nice breakfast on the way home and had a mooch round Milets. They had an offer on T shirts so we treated ourselves ready for next trip. 
Being a bit cooler I decide to tackle a bit more fence and shed painting when we got home but by lunch time it was too hot to finish it all. There’s only one fence panel and the last side of the workshop to do so I might leave it until management is away over the bank holiday weather allowing .

Stayed hot this afternoon , calm before the storm ?
