Re: Weather
Heavy rain all night, eased of now, however not dog walking conditions, should clear later in the day.
Have a nice day, stay warm and dry.

Re: Weather
Morning Boaby, did you watch the Hairy Bikers on BBC2 this week? They were on Bute.
Not much change in the weather here. Still dull and feels damp, even if rain is unlikely, with lots of cloud cover.
Take it easy.

Re: Weather
A grey damp day here and it looks set in for the day. We will have to change our walk because the yard we cross was one big puddle yesterday. I have never known a dog that dosnt just splash through puddles but muttly just stands and looks baffled. He can’t have been a street dog in Romania.

Re: Weather
Good luck with Dave, hope it all goes well. So much for the forecast for a dry day yesterday, we had several hours of smirry rain during the afternoon. Looks like a similar day today with occasional showers with a high of 6°c. Schools are on half term so we're going nowhere.
Take care folks

Re: Weather
A bright but chilly morning here. During a spell of heavy rain last night the house lights flickered and the WiFi went off. I then received a text from Powergen saying they were expecting power outages.
We didn’t loose power but this morning there are three Powergen vans on the avenue and the pavement outside Lidl is fenced off with orange barriers.
When I see road works it always bring to mind Bernard Cribins song about a hole in the ground and a man with a bowler hat.

Dry chilly morning with frost on the windscreens, suns out with a good breeze, wife has a washing out, taking advantage of the sun and wind.
Hope your appointments turn out fine Dave.

Re: Weather
I agree with your thoughts regarding hospital parking Dave. Last time we had to visit A&E with management the hospital was having a major re build and the contractors took over the main car park. Even though that has finished our daughter says it’s still a nightmare parking and she is full time staff.
Hopefully it’s not too stressful for you and it goes well.

Re: Weather
Nice and sunny now. The sun is quite warm but here is a very chilly wind.
Bit of a mix up at the hospital. We thought she was just in for a pre-op assessment but they were actually going to admit her and operate. Then they looked at the notes and notices she has another ultrasound and biopsy on Wednesday..oops.
Still, nice to know that things are moving forward.

Re: Weather
Cool, cloudy and gloomy here, but dry, no wind.
Have mentioned this before, but just in case....
I have to visit NNUH in Norwich a few times a year. It is a fantastic hospital, BUT, damn near impossible to park, as seems to be hospital universal!
So we drive to Wroxham, park in huge, free, car park and use the bus! Bus goes via the city, terminates at the entrance area for out patients at the hospital. Departs same place . Service every 30 mins, cafe at same place in hospital.
And, it's free, with an old folks bus pass!!
Has completely changed our visits, no driving to/ from, no parking at hospital.
Hope this helps in your area...

Re: Weather
We got the hailstones last night too. Much better morning with bright sunny spells for most of today but we might get the occasional shower and it's still on the cold side at 7°c (feeling sorry for you in all that horrible heat GH ) Out for coffee this morning and a bit of shopping for the boss.
The good bit of living in the Greater Glasgow Health Board area is getting appointments fairly timeously. The downside is, because they use a central appointment hub, those can be at any hospital in the group. Parking at some is ok but others are atrocious although they are at least free.

Re: Weather
Morning Tony,
Know what you mean about the central hub. Wishaw yesterday, Hairmyres tomorrow and probably Monklands next, and all for the same thing.
6 degrees here this morning and nice and sunny. No rain forecast which will be a nice change. Nothing like a bit of sun to lift your mood after all the gray we have had recently.

Re: Weather
A bright start to the day but overcast as the day moved on. Daughter was here after dropping her husband’s car at the garage. Rather than going home she stayed for pancakes. The word must have got round because son appeared at lunch time. Management did a big batch and they were very nice with honey or lemon and sugar.
As a kid I used to think pancake day was near to Easter so why did it take so long to get our Easter eggs.

Re: Weather
Good luck with that Dave, hope all goes well. Same weather here, in fact looks unsettled for the next few days. See the news programmes are doing their best to create the panic buying of tea. We might have to do what one of my workmates did in the 60s, dried his teabag and reused for 3 or 4 days

Re: Weather
A dry bright start here so hopefully the big puddle will be dried up a bit meaning we can go back to our normal walk.
We normally buy PG tea but it’s been missing in Sainsbury’s and now Lidl. Being a tea only drinker management recons the lack of tea will take the Brit’s to threaten war on the suppliers.
