The big day has arrived, nights get lighter from now.... is there something else on then?
Windy but dry, think there is a tree down where our lane joins the road but since I am not going anywhere the Council can clear it up.
Dry and fairly mild at 11 degrees though.
Have a great day all allthumbz

11°, very windy and very wet. Thought we had done the last shop but of course there's something we forgot , so a quick trip needed.

Brightened up a fair bit.  Jumped in the shower this morning and jumped right back out again, the heating element has packed in cold .

Thought it would be a pain trying to get someone to look at it but first place I phoned said he could install a new shower tomorrow morning as he would struggle to get spares over Christmas.

Merry Christmas to me then......

Dry windy walk with Tag earlier, waves battering of the harbour wall sending spray for metres in the air, not many wee boaties going out today.
Hold on to your hats lads, have an nice day.

Wind and rain has eased a bit, thankfully. Shopping was just as bad as anticipated, lots of grumpy men (dragged out?) and for a change it was not me (although it usually is biggrin). The process was not helped by people doing the "what's on the list Cha Cha" (side to side then a forward charge) or the "Stranger Things trolleys" (slumped over the handle with a glazed and distant look in their eyes). If we've forgotten anything it can stay forgotten happyyes

8°c but feels cooler than that (out to reclaim the wheelybin), dry just now but lots of rain on the way. Still some weather warnings out for further north but seems like it's turning milder over the next few days.

Caught Santa taking his children to school this morning, who knew he lives in my street smile!

Take it easy.

Same as Tony here.  How did the reindeer cope with the school run traffic, did they park or did the sleigh hover above the parked cars?

A grey day with a chilly wind today. I couldn’t be bothered making breakfast this morning so as we were going to do a last top up shop we went to Macdonalds . It was fairly quiet with very few little people in there.
I was expecting Sainsburys to be packed but it was busy but not silly. Again only a few little people in there. Mostly about our age trying to get it over with as quickly as possible.
Hopefully we are done with shopping and it’s just mince pie building today. I have already eaten the first batch. Because our son in law isn’t keen on them he getting a batch of little apple and cinnamon pies just for him.

Back from the early shop by 0730, it was busy but not manic. Loads of veggies but very limited amount of fruit except apples and bananas.
Off to Barnstaple for Christmas Day and back Boxing Day.
Still very mild and dry 13 degrees so van being aired with all windows open.
Have a great day all.

Morning Boaby,

Not a nice morning here at all.  Quite mild at 10 degrees but it's pouring as usual and is supposed to stay like this all day. Pity I need to go out later on for a few odds and ends.  Was pleasantly surprised yesterday afternoon though, went shopping and not only were the shelves full, there weren't too many shoppers to annoy me.

Take care folks.

Yes, not very pleasant but mild as it gets up to 12°c later. Quite a brisk wind too pushing the rain along. Today would be a good day to practice your, "Wow, what a surprise" or "It's just what I wanted" face in front of a mirror happyyes

Keep safe whatever you're up to.

A grey start with a gentle breeze not making it as cold today. Muttly was licking his paw last night before I took him for his evening walk and then started holding his paw up off the floor. He let me have a look and I found a thorn in his pad. This is third time he has had a thorn or cut his paw in recent months so I was a bit careful were we walked today.
It didnt look like a rose thorn this time. Maybe a Hawthorn blown down after the high winds. He has big hairy paws making it hard to find the thorns but he seemed ok this morning. walkies

12 degrees overcast and showers, thought going out before Christmas was over but now my faithful Canon printer has died. Only need a basic one which I can get for less than £50 but the ink is that much again....of course the stack of cartridges I have are old and don't fit new machines. shrugg
Just walked down to the local fruit and veg stall, traffic doesn't look too bad so either everyone is in the shops, did it yesterday or leaving it until tomorrow.
Have a great day all allthumbz
