Re: Weather
Bit chilly this morning, it's only 3 degrees. Forecast to go down to 1 degree later on this morning but then rise to 7 in the afternoon but be dry all day.
Wrap up well if you're going oout.

Re: Weather
Not a cloud in the sky so we have a light frost on the ground and cars this morning. Forecast is for it to get cloudy with some sunny breaks so it should warm up a bit. Out for coffee this morning and need to do a bit of shopping on the way. Life in the fast lane, eh
Keep safe folks

Sunny with light cloud cover but noticeably cooler this morning, car washing first thing then finishing the grass cutting. Only 7 degrees at the moment, hopefully warm up a bit later.

Re: Weather
A misty start but forecasting brighter weather later so we drove down to Cromford Mill. We walked along the canal for a while. It was a nice bright walk if a little muddy in places.
Before we had lunch we mooched round the craft shops at the mill. I found a book of stile free dog walks and management found some nice cheese and a pie for our tea.
It would have been a nice drive home if I wasn’t constantly dodging pot holes on the A 617 from the A38 to Newark. Even the trucks were braking before veering round the bigger craters. It’s been like that for years made worse now with all the distribution warehouses in that area.

Re: Weather
Dry and very windy this morning and a bit warmer at 8°c. We have heavy rain on the way from the north west for later this morning which will last most of the day.
I was wondering yesterday if the government should reintroduce those old public safety adverts. A good start would be to remind drivers about those odd orange things stuck on vehicles and designed to let others know of their direction of travel Perhaps some folk think we already have chips inserted in our brains to detect this via osmosis or ESP Yes, I had a bad day on the roads testerday
Take care folks (staying in Tony)

Does make you wonder how some people managed to pass a driving test doesn't it!
Overcast morning with a few spots of rain, never did finish that mowing it was too wet and I was feeling too lazy so better make the effort today.

Morning Boaby,
Not sure everyone on the road has passed their test given some of the driving I've seen recently GH !!!
Horrible here this morning, 6 degrees and chucking it down with no real sign of improvement.

Re: Weather
Calmed down a bit now, no wind to speak of nd the rain has stopped. Ran eldest daughter home this afternoon after she visited - don't think I've ever driven in such foul weather, wipers couldn't cope with the wind and rain. Home, feet up and a small libation to calm the nerves....

Re: Weather
It might be a change in the weather but now we are back on the east coast it’s brighter but considerably colder today. From being brought up in the NW it always seems brighter here and certainly dryer if a bit chilly when the wind is off the North Sea.

Re: Weather
Slight frost overnight but all clear by 9am. Very dull and dark with rain expected this afternoon.
It wasn't wrong, pouring down since 3pm with strong gusts as well.

Re: Weather
Reasonably bright after the wild winds and heavy rain of yesterday. It's a short spell of settled weather before tge next lot of rain arrives. Dentist for me this morning, preparatory excavations for my new crown (no, not like Charlie )
Back to my moan yesterday, the chap who taught me to drive for my test 57 years ago hammered, mirror, signal, manoeuvre into my head. I can still hear his voice when I'm driving
Take care folks

Lovely morning down in Falmouth too, contrails here mostly from Paris to US and Dublin to Spain
Just a couple of days now until I will be up there too on the way to the Carribbean.
Hopefully stay dry for the next few days and the drive to LGW.
Have a great day all and hope the dentist goes well Tony. When are you off Ian?

Re: Weather
A nice bright day here iff a bit chilly in the breeze first thing . After I cleaned the van this morning we needed a top up shop from Lidl and I managed just wearing my fleece. Looking for something nice for lunch we bought bratwurst and potato salad. Not quite the same as currywurst we had in Germany but it’s a nice change.
