Quite warm today.  10 degrees but dull.  No wind to speak of. 

Had an interesting day yesterday - settling down to watch the footy when my mate phoned, his MB Van engine had seized and I had to go and pick him up.

Plenty of oil in it so he thinks something has failed in the bottom end.  Doesn't owe him anything as it's got 189,000 miles on the clock and this is the first problem he's had so quite a good advert for MB engines..

Overnight rain has now stopped and it's 9 degrees with light cloud cover.  Forecast is for sunny intervals later on.

Morning all. Quite sunny just now but cloudy and dry is the forecast for today, getting up to 11°c. It was very mild here yesterday, felt pleasant outside in the garden.

Bright and sunny here after a night of heavy rain. 9° rising to 11 and zero percent chance of rain for rest of day. Probably a trip to garden centre today, more for coffee than anything to do with gardening.

Turned out really nice at 14 degrees, full sun and blue sky, good walk with Tag down the promenade 
Frogs are doing well in there pond, loads on fresh spawn ,hopefully get lots of wee ones by spring.

So much for the weather forecast, it's been pouring for the last couple of hours At least they got the temperature right.

Yeah - pouring all day.  My Mum phoned while I was at work, water pouring through her hall ceiling.  Called a home improvements company we know who checked and said it wasn't a leaking pipe, the roof was leaking so, roofer coming tomorrow morning and once that's done, new hall ceiling will be getting fitted...

Had a quick look at the roof and the tiles down the side of the dormer seem to be up about 2 inches at the edge..

Evening all, another few days of 29 degrees to go then back to the rain.
Been here a while now and Americans keep being over friendly and asking if I am someone famous. Discovered tonight they think I am a coach called Gregg Popovich who I have never heard of.Damn I could have gotten some free drinks if I had googled him

9 degrees and cloudy this morning but it feels colder.  Rain forecast later.

We met a Welsh chap in Madeira (true) who was the double of SirTom Jones, guess it's not unusual

Pretty much wet and windy all day with dull dry bits in between. Temperature seems to be stuck on 11°c. Out for coffee this morning to spend some of my pocket money :

Dry cool night, good long walk with Tag , gas guys still working outside, our gas is of for today,so the wee oil filled heaters are on in the bungalow .

Dry overnight for a change, very windy today 10° with pretty good chance of rain again this afternoon.

Ooh I just met a guy called Dean who walks dogs turns out he is from Bridlington! Did ask if he knew Tag......

Generally try avoid dog walkers and off lead dogs GH, have had to many bites on my arms, clouding over now,getting ready for a down pour frogs will enjoy the rain.

Van door open, damp from indoor swimming pool now 99% gone, thank goodness!

Off for a pubstop next week so nice test pre proper 2023 trips.

We had hundreds of wee froglets last year Ian, all leaving the pond during our trip away, our record is 38 frogs a few years ago, currently around dozen in there at the moment, 4 big clumps of spawn ,hopefully the frost won't freeze the pond .

Quite cool this morning.  5 degrees and light rain which is forecast to get heavier later on this morning.

Rained all night, dark this morning,  rain for most of morning , drier this afternoon,  11° max.

Much the same here. Blowing a hoolie all night and still at it. Only 100% chance of rain though. 

Look what GH is missing!

A very wet a miserable morning here in north Staffordshire this morning but forecast is to get better for this afternoon with sunshine and 12c
