Re: Weather
Morning all, cooler day at 3°c rising to 7° later. We have a clear sky with a low chance of rain this morning but there are showers on the forecast for this afternoon. Might risk hanging the washing out. Enjoyed the music for Burns night on BBC 4 and Scotland last night

Up to 6 degrees here and bright sunshine. No rain forecast so might be able to try out the drone I got for Christmas.

Re: Weather
The weather today as great for the walk with our son. The wind was cold walking head on . From the top of the Wolds the view across to the Humber was clear. By lunch time we were in a valley so sitting on the village green with our butties it felt warmer.
The second half of the walk the wind was behind us so I took my outer coat and woolly hat off. Son bought me coffee and cake on way home finishing the day nicely.

Morning folks,
7 degrees this morning and dry. Should brighten up later this morning but rain is forecast for early evening.

Re: Weather
Yes, and relatively mild getting up to 11°c later. It's dry here just now but the sky has that watery look about it. Got a few things to do today, an outside light fixture has a broken screw in a rawlplug. The boss said I need to just go out and stick another screw in it

Frosty start now glorious sunshine here , no wind either
Tony, management may have a point, but if you can get another screw in same rawlplug, it may allow you to pull the whole thing out.if you leave 10mm or so sticking out

If only, the screw head has snapped and the shank is below the top of the plastic housing. No chance to cut another slot or get pliers on to it, a drill is liable to damage the housing. I'll probably need to remove the whole thing, which risks other (rusty) screws going the same way, to get it out. Too cold right now, if it warms up later I might have a go

Re: Weather
Pain when that happens Tony, have to start again.
Sunny, 8 degrees so it is out strimming, blowing and mowing for the next couple of days so we don't face quite such a jungle when we get back from vacation. Has to be done! Should borrow a couple of sheep. Have a great day all

Its been a nice day today. I cleaned this van roof for the first time that proved to be much easier than anticipated - used to get on the roof of previous vans but can't do that on this one. The roof went so well that I cleaned the rest of the van in readiness for a week on Sunday trip to Briarfields.

Re: Weather
It was a lovely dry sunny day here yesterday but with a very cold wind blowing. Today it's 11°c and overcast, dry morning ahead but rain expected this afternoon. I like Sunday night telly, Countryfile and Antiques Roadshow, ideal for my post dinner evening snooze

Exactly as Tony with rain forecast around 4pm. Got a few things recorded to watch this afternoon but it's Sunday so early night for me as it's up early for work tomorrow morning.

Re: Weather
A chilly breeze for our morning walk but it’s nice and bright. We have managed to break off the drive and head out for a couple of nights.
We always forget something minor but this time I have exceeded myself. We stopped for milk before we got to Lincoln but when we stopped for lunch at Newark I discovered we have forgotten the bread. Normally we do a van shop the day before we leave but management was busy so I went across to Lidl to get bits thinking I would put them in the van on the way home but was distracted. No matter it won’t be difficult to get bread on route.

Very lucky we have a recessed parking area so I can use just take one step and get straight on the roof with no need for a ladder.burlingtonboaby wrote:You’ve done a proper job GH

Re: Weather
Morning everyone.
5 degrees and overcast and is supposed to get colder as the day goes on instead of warmer. Not put the winter woolies away yet just in case.
Take care.

It was a bizarre 19.6°c in the north of Scotland yesterday, even down here it fell very mild. Might get up to 7° later and hopefully stay dry but overcast.

Re: Weather
Started raining during the night and looks set for the day, temp 6 only rising to 7. Very dark grey sky. Needs lights on in house, it's so dark.

Re: Weather
It started wet this morning but by the time we had finished breakfast it was misty but dry so we decided to walk up to Chatsworth House. We managed an early lunch in the stables court yard before the rain came back.
The walk back was quite warm and the rain held off . Muttly is wedged against the heater so we will leave him whilst we call in the pub for a lunch drink. The Marstons was nice last night.
