Re: Weather
Hazy sunshine and light winds this morning, 11 degrees and forecast to stay dry for a while so time to give the van a good clean outside. Take care all in the bad weather.

Re: Weather
A bright if slightly chilly day here. We seem to have fared the latest storm without any damage. It was windy and raining for last nights walk but in my opinion not bad enough for us to cancel our trip out but that was management’s decision. We have been away in worse weather but it’s one of those times that I have learnt to say yes rather than argue. As my Grandma used to say” don’t apologise it proves you’re wrong”.

It's a glorious spring day here now. The sun is shining, there isn't a cloud in the sky, no wind to speak of and it's touching 10 degrees

Re: Weather
9° here dry , not much wind. Just washed the car for first time in weeks (or is it months), surprising how a white car doesn't show the dirt that much.

Re: Weather
Strong gusts of wind earlier , 12 degrees with a good drying wind, winter fleeces and dog towels washed and out on the line.
Good walk with Tag earlier some good waves hitting the harbour wall, viewed from afar.
Have a good day.

Re: Weather
It was certainly quite sunny here today but the cold wind would have cut you like a knife. We also had a heavy shower over lunchtime and more prolonged rain this afternoon. More rain on the forecast for tomorrow, should make it an interesting shopping day.

Morning Folks,
Only 6 degrees this morning. No rain yet but it is due later on and quite heavy by the looks of it. Think I'll leave the shopping until tomorrow.
Take care all.

Happy Burn's night to all those North of the second border ( The English are of course North of the first border - The Tamar)
Not a bad morning, dry light wind and 11 degrees so carry on cleaning the van today, roof was as dirty as I have ever seen it, lovely living down here where the weather is milder but mould grows with a vengeance in this area, everything quickly goes green.
Have a great day and easy on the whisky tonight boys

Re: Weather
The day started damp and grey but it’s brightened up late morning.
Not being from the far northern lands Burns Night is not something I would celebrate but it brings back memories from my army days. I was attached to the 4th Royal Tank Regiment that recruited mostly from the Glasgow area. As per normal the attached personnel were put on guard duties to allow the unit to celebrate. Believe me they knew how to do that. It was entertaining to see the state of them next day and that wasn’t just the blokes.

Re: Weather
Started dry and mild this morning, shopping day, haven't been able to get any haggis this year. Last year Aldi had a pack of haggis neaps and tatties and it was quite acceptable. Lidl advertised some ready meals in their magazine from Macintosh which we've enjoyed before but they never materialised . Aldi not had anything this year. Strange how they both have Chinese New Year food coming in but no Scottish foods. Disappointed this year.
It's raining quite heavily this afternoon again.

Re: Weather
More or less has been raining all day, not very cold but grey and miserable. Some of the shops were short on supplies, Aldi and Lidl were blaming weather related issues for delays with deliveries. Plenty of Haggis though, made my own neeps and tatties to go with it tonight.

I couldn't believe it either TW, I never thought such a fine man as Ian would be capable of uttering filthy words like that, just goes to show what a lifetime of flying around in a noisy tube can do to your brain, he deserves our full support for a swift recovery.Tinwheeler wrote:G*******!

Re: Weather
A warmer but breezy start to the day. Hopefully this weather will give us a break to get out. Our son wants me to go walking with him today locally so that will be a start. Maybe we can have a re think about getting away whilst it’s a bit calmer.
