Re: Weather
Thanks Tony, I don't get away until beginning of February so Christmas trees to come down first.
Overcast with showers and a strong breeze, nothing like the past 24 hours, remaining at 10 degrees. Heating is only on for a couple of hours a day, that is a win! Forecast is for better weather to come, should be able to get a few days out in the van next week, like to keep it active as much as possible in the Winter months.
Have a great day all

Still raining here, hasn't stopped for over 30 hours now. 7° today and should be dry after today but with temps dropping to around 4 until after the weekend.

Re: Weather
Started off drizzly, now better indeed, almost sunny.
Used MH to get us back from car garage where it's getting serviced. As drive was clear and garage empty decided to wash MH roof, which I can see from here in my office, it looked a bit green.....
Understatement of 2024 so far! It was ready for growing crops! Had to use the power washer on full throttle to move it! Nice and clean now, but it won't be allowed to get that bad ever again!

Re: Weather
I took the Rienza for its MOT and service this morning with the idea in mind that management would pick me up. It was cold and grey so I was glad she wasn’t far behind me. It’s felt cold all day.
I washed the gunk off the bonnet at the weekend but couldn’t be bothered moving away from the hedge. When I got to the garage the hedge side was green with hedge gunk. Part of servicing includes a wash so being cheeky I asked if they would wash the roof. Apparently their brush isn’t long enough to reach the roof. It was worth a try.

8 degrees damp and mizzle, Christmas trees coming down today so lots of climbing in the loft and putting things away. Lady G is not a happy bunny, she does love her Christmas trees!
A good day for getting everything in the office in order and trying to find more medical stuff to deliver to Ukraine on the next donated ambulance. Hope to go in March, this time from from St Austell.
Have a great day all!

Re: Weather
Nice day here, no rain not windy, but a catch
Walked all the way to our weekly market, we go each week, like the dodgy food stall(!). Towed my wee old peoples trolley there and back...nothing there, no market!!!
Read a thing re Xmas the other day, guy (like me!) couldn't be bothered re Xmas, (see above) his wife said the tree was in the bin 10mins after the King's speech finished!!!

Re: Weather
Bright dry day here and feels warmer by lunch time. Our daughter went to Meadowhall before Christmas with her work mate. She took her granny trolley because she was getting the train making it easier to carry things after a liquid lunch. She did say he felt like an old lady dragging it behind her and she is a bit younger than you Ian.

Re: Weather
Weather forecast for yesterday was surprisingly accurate, let's hope the weather people are as good today. Dry and cloudy for most of today and getting up to 7°c. Tree felling day, well dismantling and re-boxing until what will seem like a few weeks time when the whole circus will start again. I'm starting to understand these folk who leave the stuff up all year

Re: Weather
Heavy rain overnight till 8 am, dried up long enough for a good walk with Tag, gulls are pairing up and getting noisy, seems to more of them this year ,especially on the flats roofs of properties well away from the shore.
Have a nice day.

Re: Weather
We actually had a dry afternoon yesterday and managed to get out of the house for a short walk , after being prisoners for days of rain. However rained heavily overnight again and now continuous light rain. Seeing the devastation caused by floods all over the country, glad we don't often see such damage around here, touching wood!

24 hrs of rain near enough here now, seems to be easing off now. Horrendous flooding nationally almost, it would seem. Saw a lot yesterday between here and Potter Heigham

Up at 0615 to do the early shop, moonlit morning, the last of the showers passing through. Had a few showers throughout the day but managed to open the van for a good airing, with the silver screens on there was virtually no condensation anyway, hope to give it a good run tomorrow.
Winds have dropped and it is much cooler this evening, currently 8 degrees.
Have a great evening all, enjoy the traitors.... surely you are watching it!

Re: Weather
Yes, another Traitors fan here. Clear sky and frost this morning, currently -1°c but it should get up to 3 or4° later and stay dry. I'll take that given what other have had to endure over the last few months.
Keep safe folks.

Been a chilly old day today. Got to 4 degrees but was sunny all day so expect more frost tonight.
Was thinking of taking the van for a run but the gritters were out in force last night so thought better of it..

Re: Weather
A bright day with occasional showers until this evening. After a chilly evening walk I needed something to help my cheese and crackers super go down.
After a bit of thinking we remembered there was a bottle of ice wine needed finishing. We discovered it during our trip to Niagara. They pick the grapes when they are frozen making it very different to normal white wine.

Re: Weather
Or as we say, wine, it's our favourite kind (although Retsina is still a struggle ). Heavy frost accompanied by mist this morning, only -2°c but it might nudge up a few degrees later. No rain on the forecast for the foreseeable but don't expect to see much of the sun either.
Take care folks.
