Good long walk with Tag along the prom earlier, South westerly wind has kept the clouds on the move and the temperatures up.
Have a nice day, take care.

Dry and overcast but still 12 degrees. Double tip run this morning you couldn't make it up. First load rock up with the trailer and the guy directs me to no 6 bin.
An hour later rock up again, same guy and same trailer, he says you can't bring that in without a permit it is over 6 feet. Pointed out he had let me in an hour ago and he got all jobs worth and said you can't come in. Suggested he had forgotten a question, did he know what it was? He didn't so I handed him my permit.
Have a great day all.

Bright sunny day here although some black clouds lurking in the distance but the wind here is ridiculous.  I don't think we have a named storm but the winds are stronger than the last 2 storms, just waiting for fence panels to pop out.

Rain didn't let up yesterday and the wind rattled everything that moves all night. It looks like it will stay dry and cloudy today, still mild at 12°c too. Still working on the speakers but now got a "prized" small vase to repair too, anybody good at jigsaws snigger

Just think, in a week it will only be a year to Christmas wave

Take care all

We also enjoy Boxing Day. In times gone past it meant hoovering up leftovers whenever we wanted and watching the programmes we missed the day before whilst entertaining and feeding the hordes. No hordes to feed any longer shrugg

Forecast was miles off, it's not stopped raining and my jigsaw has some missing pieces scratch head

A bit warmer but damp occasionally today. We had an interesting walk round Gunby Hall today. I managed to work out the Christmas films in most rooms. The Muppet Christmas Carrol was easy but management had to help with some. She did go last week with her nutty mate so she had advantage.
The staff really made an amazing job of decorating the rooms. Its only a small house but you feel it has been a family home.

Looks like lots of showers today on the back of a brisk wind with a drop in the temperature to 6°c. Busy day, BP check first thing, then got to pick up new specs (that should have been ready last week), bit of Christmas shopping (if Poundland is still open snigger ) and a coffee with my brother, all before lunchtime. Think I might need a lie down this afternoon happyyes

Take care folks

12 degrees so warm enough but wet and miserable so far today. Something better threatened later on. Winding down to Christmas now, just the regular shopping to do. Planning next years trips seems much more exciting on a day like today. Car fuelled up for driving to Barnstaple on Christmas day, cheapest fuel I have seen for ages so no complaints on that score!
Supposed to be picking up medical supplies this morning for the next trip to Ukraine, that has been delayed for now, the guys on the current trip are having awful delays in Germany with heavy traffic, quite glad I am not with them!
Have a great day all allthumbz

Gonna be v windy especially far north for next few days it seems, take care, at least the deciduous trees have no leaves left now.

Yes, we have yet another weather warning for tomorrow. Today's forecast is not great, rain expected for most of the day although the temperature is 8°c. That will drop like a stone overnight as the wind direction switches to a northerly.

Don't forget to get the sprouts on, boiling them for about 5 days should ensure they are just right for the table hugegrins

Take care folks

Terry Wogan used to say that they needed to go on in August.

Horrible today.  8 degrees but feels much colder and it's pouring.  Need to go out and get a couple of things for Christmas that we forgot about - deep joy.

A grey and chilly morning here. I didn’t think it was too cold so I didn’t bother with my gloves. By the time I got back my hands were cold and stiff.
Muttly is probably going into hiding this afternoon because daughter is calling with her friends little boys better known as the Crays. They are a bit full on and loud but this time of year they are bouncing off the ceiling. Our kids are old enough to be passed that stage but management is getting excited. I am looking forward to what daughter has put in my hamper and good grub.

Yes, if only. Shopping day for us, if the last few are anything to go by, I'm expecting something akin to a rugby scrum. shrugg

Wild night with the house getting rattled by the high winds and heavy rain. 9°c here too and still raining.

Take care all.

As Winnie the Poo said it’s a blustery day. I have been summoned by son to bring him here with his presents. He is working up to Christmas Day until five so he can come straight here rather than going home first. Daughter is coming this morning. She didn’t make it yesterday so we can have lunch together.
