10 degrees and raining with a stiff breeze, not the worst for a trip in the van, due to clear up by lunchtime then dry into weekend.

First leg of London trip today, 5 hour drive to Knaresborough CMC

Good luck with the trip BB, nice site at Knaresborough but I guess you won't see much of the area.

I can help it, but still going out Dave. Still quite windy but the overnight rain has eased a little. The forecast temperature for today is 14°c until the wind direction changes tonight to hitting us from the north.

Dry overnight with a cool n/w breeze, nice walk with Tag, not to far as we are heading of to Hornsea,he will get a good romp on the beach later.

A cold grey start today. Typically it looks like it’s going to be a cold damp weekend whilst we are away. There’s something about us going to Norfolk and the weather. No matter the last time we used the Rienza was to move stuff for daughter’s wedding in September.
Part of our retirement plans we said we would try and be away once a month even if it’s just a change of surroundings for a couple of nights. Just being parked up in a pub car park somewhere different is better than being stuck at home. Muttly only needs a short walk twice a day and a heater to cuddle up to.

Rain has stopped but the wind has picked up - just had to chase a wheelie bin half way down the road thanks to the binmen leaving it at the kerb, lucky there weren't any cars parked near it.

Drive to Knaresborough improved when rain stopped near Carlisle, however strong wind made for uncomfortable nights sleep with van rocking. Much calmer now

10 degrees this morning and raining slightly but very strong winds. Forecast is for it to brighten up but get colder later on in the day.

Very noisy night with the high winds rattling anything that moved. Serious dip in the temperatures over the next day or so with lots of blustery showers on the forecast. Shopping day for us, funny how quickly you get out if the swing of things after a holiday.

Good walk with Tag earlier, sun just appearing on the horizon , Red Sky in the morning etc..
Light showers during the morning , wind starting to ramp up, still mild here

It’s a blustery day here but not as cold. Muttly was in a social mood this morning stopping for fuss by three ladies that live near us. He is wary of people with bags but one lady had her butchers bag so that was ok.
If this blustery wind keeps up tomorrow for our trip to Norfolk I might go via Boston. The New York straight behind Conigsby is very open. We have driven through a brown fog with the soil blowing off the fields.

Rain from Knaresborough to Doncaster, then sunshine rest of way to London. Arrived at Abbey Wood 40 minutes ago, sitting having cuppa with van doors open , currently 14 degrees.

9 degrees and windy, lots of leaves falling off the trees, about three weeks later than those at home.

Off into London later to start getting ready for both daughters presentation tomorrow. Don't have management's mobility scooter on this trip so transport planned like military operation so it is all manageable within her capabilities. Hotel bed tonight for a change.

Cold dry and starlite at 5 a.m , turned to gusts and heavy rain showers on the way back with Tag, dried of and had porridge .

A bright but chilly start his morning. Muttly didn’t want to go far this morning because he saw his bed being packed. He was skittish when we stopped for lunch. He is like a small child when we are on our travels.

2 degrees and sunny in central London, can see venue for this afternoon's presentation from hotel room. Journey in from Abbey Wood using Elizabeth Line was very easy and would consider bringing Moho again if need to return to London.

Of downstairs for leisurely full breakfast, change from usual wholemeal toast. Diet restarts tomorrow

A lovely bright but chilly start on the North Norfolk coast. We have had a short pre breakfast walk round the dog field and if the weather holds of we will walk along the coast path a short way after breakfast walkies
