Re: Weather
Sat in the restaurant on the top floor at Lincoln hospital with a great view for miles, broken clouds with the blue sky showing and every so often the sun peeks through lots of low laying mist on the fields on the drive here

Happy Paddy's Day
Very similar here, rain has stopped at long last but everything outside is soggy. Mild as other have said at 8°c with light cloud but I wouldn't bet on it staying dry for long.
Take it easy

Re: Weather
10 degrees here, bit overcast but there are blue patches in the sky. Forecast is for a bit of rain later, hopefully not too heavy though.
Think a drop of the black stuff will be on the cards tonight.

A nice bright start to the day and it feels warmer. I don’t think it’s quite time for the lighter duvet yet but the daffodils are waking up in our garden.

Slainte top of the mornin to ya on St Patrick's day.
Back from early shop, everyone else just getting up.
Dry start to the day and not too cold. Went to Flicks donkey sanctuary yesterday, never been before, has a great little restaurant is free to go in and some really rare donkeys, about 100 in all. Worth checking out if you are down this way.
Glad you are feeling better Bb.

Thanks for the heads up, GH. I've never visited that donkey sanctuary but it's now on my to do list.
We've been to the Sidmouth one many a time and supported them over the years but were disappointed last year to find how commercialised the place has become since Dr Svenson died.

We stayed at Branscombe Airfield and went to the one in Sidmouth, as you say huge and quite commercialised, this one is much smaller and the animals look much better looked after. Give me a shout if you are down.Tinwheeler wrote:Thanks for the heads up, GH. I've never visited that donkey sanctuary but it's now on my to do list.

Turned out wet this afternoon so booked my HGV medical, doctors said the wait list was 20 weeks and the fee £165! Booked with D4medicals at a local Hotel, £55 and do it next week. Just need the DVLA to play nicely this time.

Stopped raining here now, been raining all afternoon....
Wifey was a welfare officer for the Sidmouth donkey sanctuary for some years when we lived in Aberdeenshire. She loved it and misses it still. She had 2 rescues of her own too.
Off to Cairo in Nov, any native mistreating any there will soon regret it!!

Re: Weather
Dry now after overnight rain and 8°c, so fairly mild. More showers forecast for later today so the gardener will be stuck inside, again. Better keep my head down

Re: Weather
A rather overcast day here but the rain held off long enough for me to pull the Rienza over and unplug the hook up and get things ready for next Friday.
Our naibors brought their Corinium out of storage to give it a good clean. I assumed they were due a trip but it appears not. They are talking about the NW 500 in September and think that will be this years trip. I know they are both working but it’s a shame they don’t use their motorhome very often.

Re Dave's neighbours Corinium.. . With that usage, they'd be cheaper to have a chauffeur driven Rolls, stay in Gleneagles, and do the NC500 in the Rolls!!!!

Rained all night. Phone weather app says no rain all morning, they got that wrong , its still raining . 7° rising to 9. Meeting up with son and family in Shrewsbury for Mother's Day (and his birthday). Last minute decision so everywhere will be booked up , hoping garden centre will have room.
