Re: Weather
Back from the early shop, lovely sunny morning and the river is in full flood, a few egrets and geese around.
Getting out for a bit of work shortly before rain comes along this evening. Sun just beginning to warm things up.
Enjoy your travels all those away.

Re: Weather
No sun here this morning and rather cool. Heading home so doesn't matter but would like expected rain to hold off.

Re: Weather
Been a lovely few days of weather here with the sun keeping the van nice and warm. Good news as our Truma has suffered a "rapid unscheduled disassembly" No heating or hot water on EHU or gas so it will have to go in for repair when we get home

Lovely and sunny today. 10 degrees but there is a bit of a breeze. Shopping day today so let's see if there are eggs anywhere.

Hope you get it fixed Tony, not sure which unit you have but I have a spare circuit board if it turns out to be that. Sure we could do a deal on it.Askit wrote:Been a lovely few days of weather here with the sun keeping the van nice and warm. Old age doesn't come itself - went to Sainsbury's and forgot to even look for eggs (and we don't have any in the house)

Re: Weather
The trip across to Leadhills was a bit blustery but bright and sunny. We stopped half way up Mennock Pass for lunch and the wind had really got up. We only managed a short walk to let muttly have a break before lunch but as we put the kettle on a plastic sheet was heading down the pass followed by a young lady.
There were quite a few people camping along the sides of the road and a couple of vans parked up. I remember why we gave up pitching tents in the wind .
One of the vans was an ex BT workshop repair van. It looked like they had just painted over the BT logo. Cheap and cheerful.

Re: Weather
Another lovely morning with cloudless sky and bright sunshine. Been in shorts all week and got lots of outdoor jobs done. Forecast says thermals needed from tomorrow.
Another concert weekend, part of small or orchestra paid to support local choral society, only two Violas so need to be on A game (concert a few weeks ago we had 14 Violas playing). Choir have been rehearsing since Christmas. We arrive for first 3 hour rehearsal this morning. Another three hours tomorrow afternoon then gig at night. Taking moho tomorrow for tea, chill and changing room. Lots of Mozart and Handels Messiah ahead.
Enjoy your weekend

Re: Weather
Morning Folks,
Supposedly 9 degrees here and overcast but it feels cooler. No rain forecast but it's supposed to stay dull all day.
Hope the heating problem isn't too serious Tony.
Take care and have a good day.

Re: Weather
Raining down here, badly needed to fill the reservoirs. Environment Agency predicting big problems with water this Summer unless their is significant rain. Plenty to do inside though.
Have a great day all

Bright and sunny 12° here. Just washed van in preparation for next trip, it really needed it. I just wish the paint would stop flaking off.

Re: Weather
Had good weather for our few days here at The Woods and even got a bit of sunburn but, as the saying goes, all good ends come to a thing Moving on to Blair Drummond tomorrow and back to wintry conditions.
Thanks Dave, it appears to be the air combustion fan (my wallet just said ouch!) but no chance of a repair for the foreseeable. All the usual suspects are booked up for months ahead. No big deal, after 30 odd years of tent camping we can easily manage without heating and hot water.

Re: Weather
From the start this morning it became overcast turning to light drizzle. As we crossed the border into England the view point on A68 was shrouded in mist.
Whilst we were crawling along the A1 at Team Valley in the roadworks it bucketed down. I think this is a fitting end to our trip.
Also not weather related but as was typing this management dropped the mash for our tea on the floor.

Re: Weather
A bright but cloudy start overlooking Finchale Abbey. Hopefully it will stay dry long enough to go for a mooch round.
After raining in the night muttly had a nice mooch in the woods before his breakfast. I think he can come into the Abbey so he will enjoy the wet grass.
