Re: Weather
Those gulls really mob the buzzards round here especially at breeding time, tourist season now so they wont go hungry!
Overcast again this morning but at least it is dry so far, carry on with cleaning the van today, three process job this time rather than a quick spray wax, clay, wax, seal so taking ages to do, has to be worth it though and will post picture of the final job.
Really must get up to see these northern territories soon, places I have never been to and some never heard of!
Have a great day all

9degrees when I was out earlier this morning.almost went back in to change from shorts to trousers. Bit breezy and cloud cover with occasional glimpse of blue sky.
Need to finish cleaning van from Wales trip as we are of to North East of England for most of next week, need to debug windscreen and wheels are mucky with brake dust, not my favorite job but makes van look much better

Re: Weather
Bright morning and it's dry at last. Garden is looking a bit better after several days of rain and I'm sure the tottie farmers will be pleased as well.

Tottie farmers, now that's a career worth encouraging!
Which leads to todays naughty report, the sun is shining so it looks like a bit of BDSM! Blowing the Drive, Strimming and Mowing, what did you think I meant. Lovely start to the day not sure it will last though. Once the garden chores are over it is back to cleaning the van, coming on well now!

18000 steps later and I am cream crackered, cleaning the van will have to wait until tomorrow. Might just have to watch the ladies footie now, OK its a couple of foreign teams playing but may be fun.
Enjoy the evening, lovely and sunny here still

Sunny here this morning, blue skies with wispy clouds. Feels much cooler though with the north wind blowing. You lot are making me feel guilty, I'll be lucky if I get to wash the van before we head off again never mind show it some polish.

Re: Weather
Even though it’s been overcast for a couple of days it’s comfortably warm. I manage to walk back from the garage yesterday after dropping off the Polo and there to collect it today.
That the first proper walk since I had the covid. It was a nice walk but I am knackered now.

Re: Weather
Pretty decent day yesterday, cool but sunny all day. Today we're back to it being a bit overcast, dry now but rain on the cards for later. Shopping day
Read at the weekend that several tent campers had to be rescued at Loch Lomond after they got stranded by flood waters after the rain, gives you an indication of how much fell up here.

Re: Weather
Another pleasant warmish nondescript sort of morning. Off to Stirling in the van later for a day out and meeting with our financial guru, decided to make an effort and put trousers on rather than the shorts I have been in for past five weeks, knees complaining about lack of fresh air already
Have a good day

Drizzle coming in from the sea curtailed our usual Tag walk this morning, still overcast with a light breeze.
Sorry you had COVID Dave, we must have picked up something like it when we were in Fort William, wife still not right. Hope you get your strength back.
Have a nice day.

Re: Weather
Busy morning out there by the looks of things, get better soon Dave. Bilbo, get 'em off as soon as possible, strides are banned until at least November and even then only under exceptional circumstances.
A few spots of rain this morning but looking like brightening up, getting well up to date with jobs around the grounds so back to the van again. Ian H has inspired me to paint all the now yellowing plastic fittings so that will be next on the list, might even post some before and after pics.

Re: Weather
13 degrees and misty this morning, not a sea haar as We are 15 miles inland. Rain forecast for the weekend.
Taking the van down to daughter no 2's house, she is getting a log burner installed and asked me to house sit as she is busy. Sure there will be a list of jobs for me to do but at least I will be able to chill in the van.

Re: Weather
Clouds clearing for a nice sunrise earlier, not much of a breeze, good long walk with Tag down to Sewerby cricket grounds and back through the toon.
Major gas works across the road yesterday. 6 Northern grid vans here till 10 pm ( one man per van) gas leak discovered after a faulty electrical problem was reported.
Neighbours front garden is a big hole now and all fenced off.
Enjoy your stay at your daughters BB, have a nice day.

Re: Weather
Lots of rain yesterday from the afternoon right through until well into the evening. Dry and bright this morning but expecting showers as the day wears on. Plenty to do around the house and to get stuff sorted for our next trip.
I use aluminium trays in our BBQ to protect it from getting too damaged, Tesco want £3.15 for two, next door in Home Bargains.......69p for two

Re: Weather
A bit brighter and warmer this morning. After the new tyres have been fitted to the Rienza we are going to have a run out. Management has got the left over grub from a picnic with her mate so we are going up to Barton for lunch. It should be nice sitting on the river bank.
Depending on how I feel by then we might take muttly for a short walk. The aftermath of this Covid bug is taking some shifting.

Re: Weather
Have a great day with all your plans out there.
Early morning shop and back before 8am, lovely sunny morning so as soon as the man from Amazon arrives with the relevant paint planning to start spraying all the yellowing plastic on the van. Little bit more waxing and sealing to do then jobs a good un as you say.
Make the most of this weather y'all
Have a great day
Well he came and I had ordered two cans of laquer and no paint, getting old or what, thankfully Halfrauds in Truro seem to have some!

Re: Weather
It was a nice walk after lunch with a slight breeze off the river. Typically as we started to walk back it started to rain.
Muttly was happy mooching about until this point but walked behind us until the rain stopped.

Pretty hot outside here today too, makes a nice change. The gardener did a great job with her new hedge trimmer, so much so that I had to take 8 bags of garden waste to be recycled. I might let her have a long lie tomorrow

Re: Weather
Just back from daughters, turned into a lovely warm day which was helpful as the list of jobs was mostly outside.
Very impressed with the pair who turned up to install the wood burner. Only took fifteen minutes lunchbreak, kept me informed of progress and despite having dustsheets over everything they still regularly tidied up as they went. Lovely finished job with visit next week to commission the fire. Got talking to lead guy who had foreign accent. Asked him where he came from, without missing a beat he said Perth . Originally from Poland but been here 20 years.
