Re: Weather
You can just get more pleasure from the anticipation of the BBQ Tony.
Flying from Newquay where there will be a line of at least a dozen people, then to Dublin and overnight in Hotel before departure next day to Vancouver. Dublin has been pretty awful but we have fast track so hopefully will avoid the problems... if it works

Re: Weather
Looks like it should be a fine dry day for a BBQ up here, bit cool right now but 18°c expected later with a small part of the garden getting to 200°c around teatime Small fly ( or bee) in the ointment, we have a blocked gutter on the roof and there are bees swarming around it so it may be a challenge to clear.
GH, we travelled from GLA, the organisation and process was excellent. Some of the security staff were a bit overzealous but, given that they are probably new recruits, it was completely understandable. Airlines appear to struggling to get sufficient stocks of food and drink though

Re: Weather
Bright and sunny again but a few degrees colder than yesterday, mainly because of a cool breeze blowing. BBQ went well so I might have another today. Spraying soapy water on the bees gave me a few minutes up the ladder to clear my gutter. Hope it works because the bees are back and swarming

Rainy, colder than recent and looking as if set for the day. Off on another short trip tomorrow and forecast is dire.

We had a fair bit of rain this afternoon. I guess it must be very localised

Re: Weather
Another bright start this morning but it still feels cool outside. We sat out for a while yesterday, great while the sun was shining but not when it slipped behind a cloud.
A couple of dry days in prospect before the rain hits us on Wednesday

Re: Weather
Rain overnight, everywhere looking very damp and dreary in North-East Wales.
Off to North-West Wales today, hope it better that end but forecast says otherwise.

Nice and sunny in France, one heavy thunderstorm yesterday while travelling caused flash floods and roads closed

Re: Weather
Completely dry yesterday but can't believe how cold it is, the wind has a sharp edge to it. This morning it's overcast but it should brighten up later, no real change in the temperature though. I don't know whether to dress for summer or winter right now

Re: Weather
It all changed around 7pm last night, strong winds and heavy rain until we'll into the night,. This morning still very windy but no rain, instead clear blue sky as far as the eye can see. Can feel it warming up.Paulmold wrote:Absolutely fantastic day today , no wind, warm and non-stop sun.

Re: Weather
Nice and sunny down here today, not that I have seen much of it!
MOT on the van this morning, passed again then discovered Aer Lingus had cocked up our baggage. Two hours trying to get through on the phone and a further hour and a half on line and then being told they couldn't do anything about it. I mean I only paid them £90 to transport bags from Newquay to Dublin, could have sent them DHL to Vancouver for that. Never again Aer Lingus. ( Rant over )
Thank goodness we have a motorhome for our holidays, flying is getting a pain in the b*m.
I'll be back! Have a great day all, BFN

Re: Weather
Hope you get reunited with your clothes GH
Nothing much to report, forecast was accurate so we have rain and it looks like its on for the day
I see ITV daytime programmes are running a competition to win a MH + £40k. Great, so that's a new MH and a tank of petrol

Re: Weather
Moved area and site yesterday (still NW Wales )and was pretty dull all the way but cleared once we got to site, Very windy, went for walk along beach, waves looking fast and furious, certainly blew cobwebs away but apart from wind was a lovely evening. This morning it's raining and the vans rocking (from the wind).

Re: Weather
They didn't actually lose my kit, don't leave until tomorrow but always take a lot more out in terms of bags than we bring back. Paid £90 to Aer Lingus to carry the extra bags out but somehow they have been added to inbound instead of outbound so they have refused to carry them unless I pay another £90. Mistakes happen but 2 hours on the phone and another hour and a half on line to be told "firmly" you clicked and accepted the terms and conditions so tough seems a bit unfair when they could easily correct the mistake at no cost to them.
Anyway enough of that, sunshine and showers today, still fairly warm though which is good news. Destination weather about the same.
Remember to turn that aircon off and pump up the tires ( I mean tyres!) to save the liquid gold, maybe you could give Tag a rope Boaby see if he could help a bit like a husky?
Have a great evening all, back soon

Re: Weather
Sunny start here, watching our female fox with a surprising large offspring enjoying a spot of heat in the garden. The forecast suggests they will be sheltering fairly soon as a strong wind brings in showers from the west.
Happy travels to all those away from home

Clear blue sky here near Harlech but relentless strong wind, not gusting but just constant. Homeward bound today.
