Heavy rain showers overnight here on the east coast of Scotland , breezy throughout the day, some good early morning walks with Tag, great sunrises with Curlews and black dookers on the rocks.

Just wanted to let you know the big yellow thing in the sky does still exist, I've had several sightings 

Pouring down on the Moray coast after 2 days of sunny weather, some great walks out with Tag a lot the miles of beach’s .
Not many Cormorants ( dookers) only Shags , lots of gulls.

Boaby, it is posts like that remind me I must return to that fabulous part of Scotland. Our last visit was too many years ago and we made the mistake of trying to do everything in a short time, will now better in future.
A cold and windy day down here today with some rain but brighter this evening, hope for better tomorrow.
Really happy tonight though, last visit to the hospital today, MOT passed and checked for just about everything going, bit like an old Chevy certain parts are a bit sketchy and need ongoing attention and TLC, could be a lot worse!

Deep blue skies today and sunny throughout, scores of aeroplanes flying overhead mostly ex Paris across the pond and Dublin heading south.

At last!  Sun most of the day here in the Orkneys (though a shower or two, naturally). Temp 10 degrees C, and still a strong breeze, makes it nippy in shorts. 

Yesterday was a hard blow - 40mph+ - but imagine the thrill when, parked up at Broch of Gurness on the shore, a bird hovered outside the van in the wind. A skua. And saw 2 more today in Stromness. I can forgive the weather!

Great start to the day, Falmouth was heaving this morning absolutely nowhere to park a car let alone the van, Summer is here! Clouded over this afternoon but still warm, going downhill for a couple of days then back to great again.... unless the forecast changes yet again.

Really wet drive to Dingwall, overnight rain cleared by dawn,no beaches here,however managed a long walk along the river footpath for about an hour with Tag, returning for bacon in softies .

Sunshine and showers here, same a last couple of days. Temps only 11°.

Grey start to the day, turned into a nice sunny afternoon until 6 when the very heavy rain started, waiting for the awning to dry out before rolling it up, Tags enjoying himself.

We were promised a dry, bright day with the temperature up around 17°c (around half of what we've been enjoying  ), great for getting the holiday clothes washed and dried we thought. Well, it's raining but.......at least it's warm rain 

Another lovely sunny day down here but sure it wont last! Doing all the last bits of packing ready to go away again, just a a few more days to departure so trying to finish the last of the "jobs" before we head off until late July.
Goldfinches have had a baby so lovely to see the three of them feeding this morning, hoping there are more to come.
