Dry and mild down here, some blue in the sky but threatening rain later on, time to get out and get on with a few jobs. The good thing about this lockdown is we seem to be further ahead than usual with outdoor tasks! up!

Boy did it rain last night! Dry now but garden path and patio still soaked, taking time to drain  away into already sodden ground.

Dry and sunny here and quite mild ( 11 deg C)  Perfect day for having a huge hedge in the front garden cut down to allow early sun into the house. It's making such a difference already.

We watch Lolo Williams getting soaked on Winterwatch last night. We enjoy this programme and think it's been improved by lockdown.

Out before daylight, blackbirds bursting in to song and a dry start but raining now and very windy. A handful of egrets by the river this morning but still no ducks or geese at all, think they are all self isolating. Not a day for going out much even if we could, had intended to plug the ctec charger in to the van for a couple of hours just to give the engine battery that extra  boost but maybe a 240v extension lead and rain are not such good companions.

Regulary charge up our wee car Gh, I put the extension socket into an Iceland poke to keep the electric socket dry.  up! .
Our van uses a 30 meter cable direct into the side socket.
After a dry start  it's been raining of and on since 6 .
Have a nice day.

We were up silly early this morning before the day was coloured in waiting for a call from managements Australian family. Management in law has had problems after a hip replacement and a stroke.
When the day broke it was damp but warmer. At some point mid morning it was up to twelve degrees but raining. The Australian lot said it was hot and humid with very little COVID in Brisbane.
This reminded us of the heat wave and bush fires they had last time we were there. As much as it was nice to be out of the damp I know what season it is here when my joints ache.

Sharp frost here and around -3°c, at least it's dry. Didn't bother with the great bird watch, doubt they would want to know about our Robin, blackbird, several sparrows and an annoyance of pigeons tap_fingers

Still mild, quite a bit of rain last night but dries up now and just overcast skies. In 30 minutes time it could either be pouring down or bright sun you never know down here. Had the ctek charger on the van for six hours yesterday and now have 13.4v on the engine battery so that should be good for a bit until we can eventually get out again. allthumbz

Turned into a very pleasant day here, a washing out in the line and my wife spent some time doing some gardening. Wonder if I'm being too optimistic in thinking of getting the BBQ out lol4

Overcast night turning into clear skies this morning, sharp frost coming down quickly , rudded frozen mud is difficult to walk over.
BBQ cooking went well under the canopy, should be good for rainy days.
Have a nice day.

A lovely bright winters day here if a bit chilly. Maybe a good day for a walk but after a trip to B&Q yesterday I have no reason not to start the domestic warfare in the kitchen.
After we fitted the new cooker hood the wall needed touching up. Unfortunately management sees this as let’s freshen up the whole kitchen.
The worst for me will be the ceiling so I will get that done today and see how I feel after that. I have taken my tablets and done bacon butties so here goes.
