Re: Weather
Dark overcast skies, not raining hard just mizzling. Still very mild here though, another day for indoor jobs and the end of month finances which is always fun. Have a nice day everyone.

My Glaswegian wife calls me a big Jessie if I complain about the cold, she's out hanging out the washing in short sleeve T shirts. Suns out now, still a chilly easterly wind.Askit wrote:Another heavy frost and -3°c, got too cold for cooking outside here last night. I've turned into a right softy

Re: Weather
Light frost this morning and still sub zero temperatures. It's pretty dull outside and we have rain turning to snow forecast for later, might get to us, might not. Bird feeders are full but no takers

Frost still on the shed roofs, chilly, but nice with sun out, lots of wee birds out, usual garden variety.

Re: Weather
Can you have a nothing day? Very little wind light cloud but 100% cover, mild temp just all a bit unexciting out there. Massive waves though which is great unless you happen to be on them!

Yes, can see them:

Grey, gloomy and quite mild here. Dry but promise of drizzle later. No wind however and no waves even on the massively extended river.

Re: Weather
Dry and breezy but still very warm for this time of year. Hopefully will stay that way long enough to get a decent walk in, rain will be here for sure later. Dead swans have been found nearby us, Avian Flu it seems, no wonder there is no wildlife on the river. Very sad

Re: Weather
That's bad news on the swans. Frostless today, still very cold but no snow.......yet? We need a walk, I mean really need a walk, so hopefully it will stay dry for a while yet

Re: Weather
Rained a lot overnight, a bit less now which is good as I've just taken car to garage and walked home, only about 3/4 mile.

Re: Weather
Lovely here. Bright sunshine, blue skies, 13 deg C, no wind.
Our usual walk is totally impassible thanks to flooding from the river. The van is only a few metres from the flood water but there is a small bank up to where we park it. I assume, if we do have to move it that that will be a reasonable excuse to drive it ??!

Got out for a short walk, strong easterly wind blowing sleet into our faces but it was still good to get out. Felt I had earned my lunch

Dry bright morning, a few blue patches in the sky. Need to get more fuel for the mowers and blower, a few bits from Lidl and pasties for lunch, about a fifteen mile round trip to town so do I risk taking the van for a run or just go in the car..... decisions, decisions

Still got sleet being blown into our faces by strong winds up here, our shopping trip to Aldi and Tesco was not pleasant. The forecasters are warning of three days of snow from Friday midnight, better get the shovel out if the basement.....just in case

Re: Weather
A few stars out last night, not quite like a clear night in Yellowknife but good enough! Fair amount of blue sky this morning and a gentle breeze, quite a few birds flying around so just ordered another load of sunflower hearts and suet balls to keep them happy!

Re: Weather
Very low light levels here, the gauge is hovering around 0°c but the wind and rain is making it feel much colder. Trying to keep the spirits up, until the weekend when the opposite will apply
