Morning Boaby - you're up bright and early this morning.
It's -3 and foggy here this morning. Luckily I'm working from home today and don't need to go out in it.
Stay safe if you're out and about.

Re: Weather
Oh dear GH, at least your leak has an obvious cause. Hope it is an easy fix, suppose it is a bit much for a bit if Sikaflex?
Very chilly -5 at present, last of the very cold mornings for a few day but weather warning for rain all day tomorrow

Re: Weather
Morning folks, hope you've got a couple of spare tiles GH. Bit frosty and misty at -2°c outside. My old car is going in for a service and MOT this morning so it's a swift breakfast and out with the scraper
Take care all.

Re: Weather
Bright and sunny morning but it wont last long, feels cool out though, may have been a slight frost last night. Time for a bit of leaf blowing, roof is all fixed, found three holes similar to above, filled them with concrete. I hate being up there even with a scaffold tower, has to be done because finding a trade to do a little job like that any time soon no chance.
Have a great day all
Good luck with the MOT Tony!

Normally up early Dave, don't always come onto the forum until later on, turned really cold around dawn, not much heat from the sun either.
Off to the dentist later for a check up £75 , thank you very much, no NHS dentist around here.
Hope you car passes O.K

£75 for a check up - ouch. We were quite lucky, I broke a tooth last year and my wife found a dentist who was taking on new NHS patients as our old one closed due to bankruptcy (I know - a dentist going bankrupt - whatever next....)
Good to hear the roof is fixed GH. I'm a bit like you, not particularly scared of heights but hate ladders.
Warmed up a bit here. Now 2 degrees and sunny but according to the met Office it's going to rain early evening...

Re: Weather
Morning all, car passed MoT OK, not sure I would . New specs ordered last week, dentist next week along with a regular BP monitor visit to the surgery
Pouring down here with little change over much the day but it is up to 5°c so not all bad news. Shopping day for us, looking forward to all the fun of engaging with my fellow shoppers as they meander around the stores
Take care folks

Re: Weather
5 degrees here and been raining since a out 2amso frost from last night all gone. Good news about MOT Tony.
Off to near Falkirk later for brass band daughter is percussionist for Christmas concert, management insists even though she doesn't come to here my orchestras playing, including our Christmas concert this coming Saturday evening. Anyway despite it having water drained will be taking moho so we can have a cuppa and hot meal before concert not to mention convenient loo.
Have a good day

4 degrees and drizzly this morning. SWMBO is off visiting so I think I'll make a start at getting the house tidied in time for the Crimbo Carnage.

Re: Weather
Enjoy the concert Bb!
Grey and damp here this morning, a breeze blowing too so not a great morning for doing a lot.
Management advises I am writing cards this morning to send to people we would otherwise never speak to and who will probably only send one back because they feel obliged as we sent them one. Christmas Grinch, moi, surely not.

Re: Weather
It’s certainly been opposites with the weather in the last 48 hrs. Yesterday was clear and bright with a night frost. Today it’s been grey and damp all day.
It should be warmer but the damp seems to make it feel colder and I certainly feel like everything bashed or broken in the past is showing up. No matter a drop of Chivas Regal will help after our evening walk.

Re: Weather
Great concert last night, something about a great brass band in full flow, not just the all out full belt bits but the electrifying quiet playing and the contrast. Suppose I should feel Christmassy after that but my immunity to it must be getting stronger as I age, will see what playing a programme of Christmas music tomorrow does with full orchestra, 40 strong choir and audience participation in carols.
Drive to Falkirk wa mixed with strong wind and rain, drive home much improved weather, now 5 degrees and light rain. Off to GP at 8 to get blood taken for diabetes check up, time to see if I have been naughty or nice

Re: Weather
Morning folks, good luck with the bloods BB and I hope your concert goes well. I'm refusing to comment on my "Christmas spirit" on the grounds that it may incriminate me
Rain was a bit sleety yesterday and on all day apart from a small break around lunchtime. It's overcast this morning and we expect heavy showers for much of today. It is a bit warmer at 6°c.
Take care folks

Re: Weather
Back from the early shop still dark when we left but blue skies now. Not too cold and very light winds.
Should really go for a good walk today but feeling a bit cream crackered after the last couple of weeks.

Re: Weather
Muttly is a good judge of the weather. During the recent cold spell he wouldn’t go up the garden first thing. He waited until walk time. This morning because it’s brighter and dry he wanted to go for a mooch round the garden whilst I made sausage butties for breakfast.
He has gone back to sleep now to conserve his energy for our walk. As management says he is just a lazy retired old mutt.

An almost balmy 8 degrees at the moment, just a pity it's pouring. Shopping day today so need to time it right to avoid the little darlings leaving school.

Re: Weather
7 degrees, warmest morning for quite a while, but raining steadily with forecast that it will continue all day.
Just checked online and blood results from yesterday are good, however weight up 1kg since June.
Good workout today with 3 hour rehearsal this afternoon then Christmas concert tonight. Plan is to make cottage pie this morning for quick and easy tea.
Have a good day.

Cannae beat mince and totties Same temperature here but it's dry and overcast right now. Forecast is for heavy rain showers over the day. The boss started bringing out the seasonal items for me to hang/nail/stick, etc and the box with our real tree (it's real plastic ) to be erected today. That's that then
