Re: Weather
Light drizzle to start the day but the sun is out now and threatens to be a decent day. Been to the big city of Truro for the flu jabs this morning, covid jabs in a couple of weeks time. Thought about not but on balance decided to do it in the end, several people round here have covid again.
Have a great day all

Re: Weather
Pretty accurate for here, started dry, bit of drizzle then poured down for a couple of hours and back to dry again. Expect there will be more rain later this evening. Heading back up to Scotlandshire tomorrow with a couple of days in the borders before heading home. The plan is for an early start before storm Agnes arrives

Agnes must have missed the bus, its a bit breezy but no rain and 18 degrees. She's either coming along later or just passing by.

Re: Weather
Waiting for Agnes here too. Just brought the washing in as rain due in next hour, now hanging up in utility room
Also put last of packing and food in the van as we are off to Yorkshire and York for a week in the morning. Managed to get several nights at York Rowntree CMC so won't need to move van as management will use mobility scooter to get into centre each day

Have a great time Bb.
Agnes stopped by briefly probably less than 30 minutes but long enough to blow a big branch down from one of our beech trees. No apparent damage fortunately, anyone need some logs.

Re: Weather
Enjoyed the run up from the Lakes this morning, it was one of those glorious autumnal starts with warm sunlight on the landscape. Dry all the way until we got here, rain started at 1.00pm and hasn't stopped since. Now getting some fierce gusts of wind as well. Clearly it hasn't put our inveterate travellers off as the site here is choca.

Re: Weather
Drove up from Southampton area today, a little rain but no wind. Now home and rain is chucking down, not much of a storm so far. Maybe it passed us by.

Think Storm Aggie hit last night, very wet and windy. Wind has died down a bit now and rain has stopped, 13 degrees so not cold at all.

Re: Weather
Just been sent out from house by management to fill a bowl of cereal from van stocks as she doesn't want to open new packet in house with us setting off this morning, so much for being prepared for trip. Anyway wind very mild and strong, thought some of her cereal hoops were going to blow out of the bowl coming back down the drive.
Hopefully Agnes is leaving us soon. Have a good day

Re: Weather
The predicted storm yesterday seemed to have missed our part of the east coast as I thought. It was a bit breezy and rained quite hard for a while but nothing like the west side.
This morning it’s bright and quite warm for our walk so muttly will be happy.

From 6pm to midnight at Beadnell we had violent gusts of 50 mph + wind and some heavy rain storms. Calm and overcast this morning.

Re: Weather
Bit more calm here too with a grey sky. Forecast is for more rain later so getting out for a walk whilst it's dry. Lots of folk leaving the site this morning, guess they were taking shelter after the storm warnings.
Safe travels.

Re: Weather
Gales through out the night lifting the astro turf at the front of the bungalow, otherwise a dry mild night. Took the wee car out to Fraisthorpe, with Tag for a good blow on the beach and breakfast at Eastfield garden centre on the way home.

Re: Weather
A fresh but overcast start here. Because of sister in law staying with us we have had to keep the heating on at night making it too stuffy for me so I am up early to get some air. We understand her wanting to come for daughters wedding but spending four weeks wrapped in a blanket and not wanting to go out is really getting to us all. Management is going stir crazy. No matter a week on Monday she goes back to Australia.

Re: Weather
Pretty wet last night but it's clear this morning for the trip back to base. Got a knock on the van last night, a chap with a torch was trying to reunite an older woman with her friend and her friends MH. She had gone to the toilets (in pitch dark) and had completely lost her bearings. She had no idea of what make or model the MH was either. I suggested they contact the site warden to see if they knew the pitch number her friend was on
Take care all.

Morning Boaby,
13 degrees and bright and sunny this morning but there is a bit of a breeze - still, not too bad for this time of year. Have a good drive back Tony.

Bright sunny morning, back from the shops just after 8am, looks like it will be a half decent day. Continuing to fit the new microwave in the van today, should be a good upgrade once done but getting it perfect hasn't been easy.

Re: Weather
I am now sat out on the decking in the sun with muttly having our lunch. Management decided to take sister out for lunch as it’s quite warm. Last I heard sister wanted sun gunk iff they are going out. I don’t think factor 30 will be needed in Barton on Humber.
She did ask if me and muttly wanted to go with them. I have work to do and muttly is hiding in the sitting room away from her wheelie walker.

No idea how she got on but there was a flurry of torches about half an hour after I spoke to them. Got back OK but the cross winds made it quite tricky on the motorway. Arrived at the storage site and was squeezing the van into my bit between two caravans when the owners of one turned up. They are two of my ex work colleagues that I've not seen for over 15 years Small world.
