14 degrees and bright at the moment. Forecast for rain later on - that should cool the cyclists down.

I read somewhere that this Storm Antoni is the first ever named Autumn storm. Since when has August been in Autumn.?

Very heavy rain overnight,  still pretty heavy but a bit brighter now but only 11° rising to 13 this afternoon,  certainly Autumn temps.

Rained all afternoon and some of the morning here, but nothing like our friends on here on Linc coast.

Allegedly improving throughout next week

This evening we ended up on the beach in the sunshine, wind dropped right off and quite a decent evening except the chips were £4 a portion and not even that good! Quite a few swimmers out in the water without wetsuit's, braver souls than me.  Debris everywhere so plenty of clearing up tomorrow.

Wetsuits?  In the water around Britain?  I would have thought hazmat suits would have been a better option
Then again..if they aren't wearing them.... yikes

Out with Tag In between heavy rain showers this morning, noticed surfers out at Cayton bay yesterday afternoon, mad or what.Brid beaches are still polluted dispite what local agencies say, should imagine the sewage overflow this morning will be coming out after the rain here over the past 24 hours.
Weather should fair better next week Peter, hope you enjoy the rally and chips.
Have a nice day.

Morning Boaby,

11 degrees and quite bright although the sun isn't shining.  Rain forecast for early evening but weather is supposed to pick up as the week goes on.

Yes, 57 swimmers ill after a triathlon in Sunderland Whistle1

See they opened a new section of the Yorkshire coast path from Bridlington to Filey Brigg Boaby, that will draw the punters in. Same weather here as Dave's got, couple of outside tasks to do before I start on the inside list shrugg

Take care all

Should imagine the coastal path will be very muddy Tony, I've had to avoid the path along from Sewerby due to the muddy conditions lately. More punters for the gulls to steal their pieces.
Light shower now, Loftus north of Whitby is flooded I'm told.

It was raining whilst I made breakfast but dried up by walking time. There have been a couple of showers but it’s brightened up but still chilly in the breeze.
I hope it stays dry in morning because I have to drop managements car at the garage for its MOT and walk home.

Morning folks,

12 degrees and dry - no idea if it's overcast or not - it's still dark outside and I really want to be back in bed rather than heading out to work...

Have a nice day if your on your travels.

Morning Dave, see your up and away this morning, beautiful sunrise with blue clear sky, some cloud banks to the west, cooler at 10 degrees.
Good walk with Tag, he was in sniff mode this morning,so took abit longer. One good thing from all of these heavy down pours, the rain has washed away all the doo pooh of the footpaths, plagued with Doos here ( and gulls)
Have a nice day.

A lovely bright day here if still a little chilly in the breeze when we walked back from the garage this morning. Once the car was ready for collection, passed MOT, it was a lot warmer.
As I said managements 58 plate Fiesta passed its MOT with a couple of minor advisories that can wait until its service next spring. It’s the first MOT since we bought it so it was a bit of an unknown. The garage did say one of the brake pipe brackets at the front was bent back stretching the brake hose so they sorted that. You can only wonder how long it was like that. shrugg

Good morning gentle peeps.

Wee bitty cooler this morning at 10 degrees but the sky is bright and clear of cloud and the forecast is for a sunny day today.  Good news about the car Dave, that's it for another year anyway...  Don't work too hard Tony and enjoy your walk with Tag this morning Boaby,

Morning Dave, had a great walk with Tag out along the promanard towards the harbour, beautiful sunrise, cooler but fresh, if it stays dry, will have a shot at the hedges today, the extra rain has made them shoot up.
Have a nice day, take care at work or on tour.

No chance of me working hard, those days are long gone biggrin . Up to 12°c now and rising to 18°c later with no rain on the forecast for a change. It was predicted for yesterday but we never got a drop. Out for a coffee this morning although, with the kids being on holiday, the coffee shop is more like school playtime shrugg

Take it easy.

Nice bright start to the day. Muttly was lying full length in the sitting room in sun snoring when I went down to do breakfast.
Nothing planned for today including workshop time. I need to order more metal to finish my last tool holders and I need to look for a folding trolley for the van. My aged joints are protesting to me carrying water containers and cassettes across sites.

It’s was quite warm by lunch time so we were able to prove the air con in the Fiesta works now. By the time we looked for a trolley it was warm enough to take my jacket off.
We couldn’t find a trolley locally that would have survived being dragged across a site with a full cassette or a water container on it. They were all flimsy things with tiny plastic wheels.
Once we got home I found one on Amazon so I tried to order it but not having Amazon Prime it wasnt possible shrugg
I found one on E Bay that is the same make and ten pounds cheaper delivered by Saturday, also with a free bungee strap.
