Re: Weather
Bright here but cool and crisp, autumnal reminder I think.
Big very bright, more or less full moon last night not seen it for a while
No heating on as yet but suspect not long now.....

Re: Weather
Yes, it was described as a harvest moon. We had a good view of it last night as the sky was clear so it's a cool start up here too. We're also resisting turning the CH on but, like you, think the big switch on is nigh It's a bit dull morning but it looks like it will stay dry until later this evening. Shopping for us today, being Saturday I'm sure the shops will be quiet
Take care all

Re: Weather
Harvest moon at that Boaby, welcome to Autumn.
Light cloud and dry this morning, threatens to be a half decent day before the rain ️ arrives tomorrow.
Might do a bit of hedge cutting see how it goes.
Mr. Badger and his mates had a party again last night, front lawn destroyed again, little beggars they are.
Have a great day all

Saw this too yesterday, not a blue moon, but a blue sun!
Caused by smoke from wildfires in the colonies....Canada!!!
Makes a lot of sense having a ULEZ in London then, they, presumably got this form of pollution too!!!

Rain started about 3pm yesterday and kept going through the night. Dry this morning but it's dull and grey and I don't think the rain is far away. Heating went on last night

Re: Weather
Rain overnight but nice sunny morning in the dales this morning. Been very mild overnight, in spring and autumn depend on heating to warm up water without switching water heater on, caught out this morning as van heating didn't kick in overnight and had to boil a kettle for oblutions. Leisurely breakfast then off to York for rest of this trip.

Morning Boaby, Supposed to be 16 degrees this morning but doesn't feel like it, maybe due to the rain which is that damp smirry stuff nobody likes. Defintootly time to put the heating on.
Enjoy your trip to York BB.

Re: Weather
Bit of a non day today, got some finances done and finished fitting the microwave in the van, even though I say it myself really pleased with the result. 18 degrees and overcast with the odd spot of rain, still in the stubbies down here, longs being banned until at least November.

Re: Weather
A warm but damp day with occasional drizzle. Me and muttly had a day to ourselves whilst daughter took management and sister to a garden centre for the Christmas fair. It’s not past bonfire night yet never mind Christmas.

Not a great day to be charging the EV from renewables only!!!!

Re: Weather
Yesterday turned out better than forecast with plenty of sunshine but it was pretty cool. Similar day in prospect today although there may be some showers later this evening. Got some admin stuff to do before heading out for lunch with my son.
Enjoy York BB, take care all.

Re: Weather
I only thought of bonfire night because the fireworks have started here. Halloween is just one night the fireworks went on up to New Year in the past making walking muttly in the evenings scary for him.
It seems quite warm here this morning. When I went down to make morning tea I left the dining room door open but had to close it again because the Pom is cold. Management reminded me one week to go. It’s going to be a long week.

Re: Weather
When we arrived at York Rowntree yesterday at 1 30pm management counted 11 units in queue in front of us for check in. Wardens said worst they had seen all season and took them by surprise, said 62 check-ins due yesterday, on a site with 95 pitches. They were still patient polite and cheerful .
Got one short soaking while in York centre but otherwise a warm dry day. Very busy. Some light rain forecast this afternoon, lunch is pre-booked afternoon teas at Betty's. Will work on blood sugar later

Re: Weather
Our daughter and now husband had afternoon tea booked at Betty,s as a pre wedding gift this summer. They turned up with there shopping wearing jeans and t shirts. She said she felt a bit out of place because every one else was wearing posh dresses and suites. I think she would be more comfortable with a bag of chips in the park..

Re: Weather
I will be in my usual vanning attire of cargo pants and t shirt with fleecy jumper, if they want my brass here in Yorkshire they will take me as they find. Spent many years working in suits, so not inclined to wear them now other than playing in concerts, weddings and funerals.
Nothing wrong with chips in the park either, lunch yesterday was made in the van in car park of York Designer Outlet. Cheese ploughman's with cheese from creamery at Hawes.

We’re wrapped in a thick blanket of mist again this morning. It feels as if we’re marooned on an island up here on top of the hill.

Re: Weather
I have worn uniform most of my working life but suits are for specials occasions or funerals. The suits we had to wear under orders from daughter for her wedding were nice but being a warm day I would have been more comfortable in something more casual like shorts.

A nice bright start to the day. Management and sister are out for lunch cum afternoon tea so me and our son are having lunch together. I thought he would like a pub lunch but he said a nice cafe lunch would be better. He works in a pub so I suppose he wants a change.

Re: Weather
The weather here seems at odds with everyone else's here. Over the last 3 days we've had rain, heavy rain and even heavier rain. This morning it's dry and bright but rain forecast again around midday.
Next door neighbours are building an extension and on Saturday they worked all day in torrential rain with a dumper-truck and small digger, their site is like a mud bath.
