Well the roads are dry and it is dark so assume it hasn't rained too much, tell you tomorrow

Heavy rain showers started after sunrise,managed to get Tag out for a wee donder, heavy rain coming down as I post.

Welcome back GH, there has been a drop or three in some parts of the country

Dull and damp here this morning with smirry rain and it's still on the cool side. Are we downhearted.........well, just a tad

Cheers all. The badgers have turned the back lawn in to a scene reminiscent of Bakhmut. Destructive little beggars. It was pouring down at 3am when I was ready to get up and still pouring at 9am when I wanted to go back to sleep, feel really sorry for any travellers in tents etc. Doesn't look like much improvement so a good day to plan the trip to France in a couple of weeks.

Very windy and heavy rain all night but dried up this morning and the sun came out just as we were leaving.

Drizzly rain just started as we pulled up the drive....

14 degrees and chucking it down and it's going to stay like this all day.  Hope the weather is better if your out on your travels.

Another wet day ahead and still cool for the time of year. There seem little prospect of things changing in the foreseeable. Hospital appointment for me today which is a pain in the whatsit, public transport is unreliable timing wise and parking at the hospital is a nightmare

Man walked into a pet shop "i want a pet but not a cat or dog, something really unusual"
"I have got a talking centipede" the man went home delighted.
He said to the centipede " Fancy going down the pub".... nothing from the centipede.
He asked again, nothing.
Thinking he had been conned he thought I'll ask one more time.
He did and suddenly the centipede replied " I heard you the first time idiot, can't you see I am still putting my boots on"

It might be old but its less depressing than this weather!

Since it's still raining, and I'm a lazy so and so, it's a taxi for me.

Not heard that one GH but I did hear a variation. It was about the star striker, who as a centipede, playing for Insect United. He missed the first half of the cup final because he was putting his boots on. Insect United sacked him and raided the Asian market for a replacement called Oh who happened to be an earwig. He was very popular with the crowds who often chanted,

Earwig oh, earwig oh earwig oh

Cold (17) , dull, rain expected any minute. Not much change expected for rest of week.

12 degrees and dull this morning and it's supposed to stay this way for the rest of the day.  Forecast is for things to brighten up as the week goes on, one can only hope.

Same here although there's a 50% of rain after 6pm, what a shock, more rain Awake because of disturbed sleep, think I'll leave the early posts to you guys in future

13 degrees and, as usual, raining with no sign of it getting any better today.

Waking about 3.30am the last few mornings then wanting to sleep half the day but it will pass. Forecast is horrible today rain and gales but so far it seems calm and dry. Who knows.

Yesterday was warm and dry so thought I would get on with outside jobs post holiday. Cut the back lawn, but just before I finished mower ( corded electric) made funny noise and seemed to lose power. Gave ita good clean, had  check internally and all seemed OK,started and sounded fine. Went to cut front verge, got one strip cut, burning smell from mower and motor stopped, RCD didn't trip. Decided enough is enough so had to order new mower. Gone cordless this time. Delivery of new mower due early next,  manufacturer website cheaper than Amazon. 

Drizzle forecast today so indoor jobs again. Moho going to no2 daughter tomorrow as she is volunteering at international cycling championships next week and wanted cheap accommodation. So will finalise prep today

Went cordless for. blowers hedge cutters and strimmer, really pleased as Lady G is happy using them. Also have petrol versions and Honda mowers which are well worth the cost. Non roller one must be over 25 years old and still cuts perfectly.
