Re: Weather
P**in down here. Feel so sorry for holidaymakers (we have zillions here) in tents at Cromer or nearby.
Yellow warning for thunderstorms here today too.
Cordless or electric start are essential, used to break my heart watching wifey pulling the start cord on her lawnmower!!!!

After this mornings walk Noah and up to me watch chain in water come to mind. The yard we walk through has gone from puddles to a lake. We had to turn back much to muttlies liking. He spends most of his days snoring but he broke his record getting home. Now he is lying in the sitting room with his back to us, do not disturb.

Unfortunately Peter its to get worse, our neighbours have a static caravan on the coast just south of Whitby, sitting inside with 20 mph n/w gales and rain. Better day tomorrow, forecasted to improve from the 9th ?.
We have re scheduled our trip until September Peter, ending in Whitby for 6 days, weather should better by then.
Pouring down again here.

Fingers crossed for the 9th onwards then.
Just heard that a rally on Redcar Rugby club later this week has been cancelled because of poor ground conditions.

Morning Boaby,
14 degrees and there is a strange yellow thing in the sky - could it be the sun?? Hoping it stays dry and bright all day.
Take care if your on your travels folks.

Re: Weather
The rain forecast for yesterday was very patchy and it dried up into the afternoon but there were some strong gusts of wind. Still a few showers here and there today but it should stay mostly dry. Unfortunately it's pretty cold.
You'll get a good idea of the weather up here over the next 10 days with the cycling events being televised.
Take it easy.

Re: Weather
I hear bathing in the sea along Bridlington coast has been banned due to sewage discharge into the sea caused by the excessive rain making the treatment centres overflow so excess sewage dumped into the sea.
Showers again here, temp down to 16.

Sunny periods and showers, managed to get some clearing up done outside after the heavy winds, mowing this afternoon if dry enough... and I have had another go at the useless people at the DVLA. Two weeks to departure and still no driving licence, where did efficiency go!
Have a great day all.

Your right Paul, in the news for all wrong reasons, big waves along the harbour wall earlier, didn't fancy tombstoning this afternoon though.
Drizzle combined from the sea now.

Re: Weather
An overcast but much dryer day here. It was warm enough to have the workshop door open this afternoon. Unfortunately the warmer weather meant matey next door was practicing his saxophone with their patio doors open. I can tolerate jazz but I wish he would keep the doors shut until he gets more practice.

Re: Weather
Morning Boaby, not working today, I'm in semi-retirement and only do Monday to Thursday and counting the days until semi becomes full
12 degrees and fairly bright this morning and forecast is for it to stay that way for the rest of the day. Going to look at cars today as the Boss can't drive mine, really can't wait for that.

As to Jazz (Yes I know off post slightly) what do you call the largest container ship in the world, carrying half of the world's known saxophones, sinking mid atlantic in the deepest water, all crew rescued safely.....
A Start!!

Re: Weather
Dull and grey here but it looks like we'll miss the worst of storm Antoni ( our forecaster said we would get a glancing blow ). Hope the competing cyclists and spectators don't get blown away. Been a busy week so I'm hoping for a quiet day.
Take care all especially to those away or caught in the eye of the nasty weather..

A grey wet start here so it will be the short wobble round the block after breaky. I hope this yuk clears up tomorow because management is going for a picnic with her nutty mate. I hasten to say I am not involved so me and muttly will be fine.
