Re: Weather
Not off until the week after next Boaby, the weather should have well and truly broken down by then
Bit overcast again but it started this way yesterday and by lunchtime it was roasting. Forecast suggests it getting a bit cloudy later, we'll see. With folk constantly looking for ways to carry extra passengers, I wonder if recent events have encouraged anyone here to explore the space under their van
Take care all.

Re: Weather
A warm day from the start with no mist this morning. It’s been one of those days of can’t be bothered other than our son calling to pick up his suite for the wedding.
Just as management started tea I thought I heard a rumble of thunder followed by big rain drops. There was wish wash on the line so I managed to rescue it before it got too wet. A quick blast in the tumble dryer will get it dry again.

Re: Weather
It was very humid again yesterday but we had some light rain around 9pm and that seems to have cleared the air a bit. Overcast start again, not sure the sun will break through this time but it's still warm. Porridge for me too, then out for the Sundays and a day improving the shine on the bottom of my trousers
Take care whether on the road or not.

Overcast here and forecast is for rain later. Still quite warm at 18 degrees but not nearly as humid thanks to the showers last night.

Finally caught up with you today Tony, the wife bought me a wee retro tranny Roberts radio, great reception on the DAB channels.
Cooling down to 23 degrees now, had the Dyson air cool on all night .

Home now, great holiday, very stuffy in Cornwall
Interesting Boaby about Dyson air cool I was looking at something similar for the van. What do you think, are they quiet?

We had the Dyson air with us for the 4 week trip and it worked a treat keeping the van cool when needed, it's big, however shouldn't be a problem in your large van GH.
It's still very hot here on the east coast 24 degrees inside without the cool air on. Really refreshing cool air when on and it's also silent.

Re: Weather
Once again a warm sticky day followed by a rumble of thunder and rain just as we started making tea.
I managed a morning in the workshops before it got too hot and finish off a modification to the lathe. Management was fiddling about doing house cleaning things after lunch so I did my bit and had a tidy up and deep cleaned things in the workshop. I have projects coming up so it will be nice to start with a clean and clear bench.
Off to Manchester airport silly early in the morning so a cooler night will help get some decent kip tonight.

Re: Weather
Yes, quite a bit of rain last night with a few rumbles of thunder in the distance. It's overcast again and certainly feels a lot cooler outside than of late. Guess, with all that's going on elsewhere, we should just count our blessings

Re: Weather
At six this morning it was 18 degrees as we left town and it stayed about the same until we got to Manchester. On the way back late morning it slowly crept up until we got to the M1 at Sheffield at it was up to 24 degrees.
Managements sister had two jumpers on and a fleece we brought with us. She brought a dress with her from Australia for the wedding but thinks it might be a bit thin for September. I did offer long John’s and a woolly hat.
