Have you tried there Dairy ice cream Paul, it's branded as Scottish traditional made by Aberfoyle dairies , really nice and scoops up well for a pocky hat.
Cool and overcast cast along the coast here.

Our Lidl (as well as Tesco and Aldi) was well stocked with all the usual stuff. We buy the Lidl Almond ice lollies, a box of six costs less than a single Almond magnum and they are very good   

Very cold wind here with light blustery showers. Got to walk up to the surgery to see the Practice Nurse for routine checks later so I'll need to wrap up (as my wife regularly suggests I do  )

Lidl wasn't too bad today, tomatoes in stock, limited range of eggs. A few gaps on shelves but overall not bad.

Quite a pleasant day today - v little wind and plenty of sun this afternoon. Gave the van a rinse while there was some thin cloud this morning - constant battle to keep both our vans clean of salt at this time of year!

Some overnight coastal showers, cooler and damp , no breeze or frost . Nice walk with Tag, local one down the north promanard to the pool and back.
Porridge later,under the duvet for a wee while.

Had to defrost car to go shopping but still a very pleasant morning. 

Been shopping to stock the van for weekend away at Moffat. Emptied tins, packets of pasta etc in November and revised stocking list to what we actually used last year but still quite a sizable shop to restock. Will know by Monday what I forgot 

Have a good break BB, your heater will get a good workout with the weekend forecast temps. Remember, when choosing a pitch, they have moved the bins to the front gate   Recommend Cafe Ariete on the main street, great food and decent prices.

4°c this morning and getting colder, at least it dry if still dull with the cloud cover. Out for a belated Christmas lunch with friends today,  wonder if they will have any Turkey left

Back from the early shop, Sainsburys and M&S the shelves have plenty of fresh fruit and veg, is this just the press being its normal sensationalist self.
Frost again and -2 when we left at 0715, warmed up to 3 degrees now though and clear blue skies again, should be another good day although cloud is forecast for this afternoon.
Getting ready for our visitors next week, five in total.  Three to collect from the airport and the rest driving down, thankfully with the Worcester having a huge front lounge we should all be able to fit in comfortably for a few trips to the beach and coffee or lunch onboard.

Much cooler with a light breeze and sleet flurries, dry enough to get Tag out for a walk,back in for porridge and a spray.

0°c this morning although there is no frost. Still rather dull with light cloud but the sun is starting to break through. Think a lot of cafe/takeaway owners must be unhappy with the "maximum of 3 units" rule supermarkets are enforcing. Surprising how many use Aldi and Lidl rather than going to C&C's.

East coast high pressure weather here today, cloudy and overcast, 4c no wind.
As the high moves away to the winds next week will all be from the North, so even the sunbathers in Cornwall will need wooly clothes on!!

Light cloud cover today, no frost and just a gentle breeze, still no rain to speak of so the hosepipe ban continues. Some reservoirs are still less than 50% full, drought on the way for sure unless we get significant rain. Desalination plant anyone.

Sun trying to break through the clouds, cold wind blowing now, minds me of shopping in one of the supermarkets in Rothesay. The cafe owners would come in with their trolleys and clear the bread rolls from the shelves, despite having 2 good bakers in town. They left nothing for the shoppers, baw bags comes to mind.

3°c and dry, dull and cloudy again. The gardener wants new flowerpots to replace all those that got frost damage over the winter. Guess we'll be heading to one of the DIY stores later......great 

Take it easy

Dull gloomy and cold (2c) this morning, again, with a few days of very cold weather coming this week.

Just when we need electricity to keep warm, Gridwatch tells me that right now we're getting a whole 7% of our needs from wind and 0% from solar. Thank goodness for N Sea gas and nuclear!!

2 degrees, still and cloudy but with sun trying to break through. 

Sitting having breakfast in a very full Moffat site after a very comfortable and toasties nights sleep in the van, lots of birdsong and bells sounding quarter hour drifting from town. Otherwise very peaceful

Another bright if chilly morning.  3 degrees with the sun hiding behind light cloud. The boss wants to go see about getting birthday presents today so fingers crossed it stays dry.
