Bright blue skies again but a bit of a breeze this morning, 5 degrees and looking good for the day.
Bird feeders are alive this morning pairs of bullfinches, goldfinches, long tailed t's amongst others and then some I don't know what they are! Infiltrating squirrel being a pest.
Day off today after a day of solid pressure washing yesterday, back really aches so taking it easy until  Mr Wilks is pressed into service again tomorrow. Reckon two more good days should finish the job. Management tells me she wants to go out this morning and buy a couple of bushes, garden centres are second only to the dentist in my eyes! twiddle_thumbs

Good luck with the plumbing Tony, hope it is all fixed soon.
Have a great day all allthumbz

Morning folks,

Cold this morning, 0 degrees with a frost on the ground and a car needing scraped.  Wish I could just bury myself in the duvet this morning but.........

Have a good (if cold) day and wrap up if your going out this morning.

Heavy coastal rain showers through out the night and into this morning, curtailing our walk down the promanard, Tag had his full rain coat on I didn't just a bolly, big dafty.
Anyway have a safe day at work Dave, I'm diving under the duvet again, after a wee spray.
Have a nice day.

Frost here too and -1°c, bit of light cloud but staying dry (allegedly rolleyes ) More workies arriving shortly so a busy day ahead, making tea etc  snigger

Got the van out for it's first run of the year, mostly all good but a quick inspection revealed a few minor issues that need attention in due course. Unfortunately it does look like our LB has bitten the dust, not urgent so I'll do my research and get a replacement.

Take it easy

Good luck with the workies Tony, hope they are finished soon.
Frost here as well, shame as the camelias were looking stunning but all looking a bit browned off this morning. Sparkling blue skies and 3 degrees now, give it an hour then outside to carry on the good work. Replacement lawn mower arrived yesterday so have a new toy to play with, its predecessor lasted nearly 20 years and still has life in it so can't complain about that.

Another night of heavy rain showers along the East Coast, stopped long enough to get Tag out for a wee donder,no point in getting soaked.
Have a nice day if your working, hope all goes well with the trades Tony, take care.

Thanks for the good wishes, believe it or not they were still trying to get our CH working. The good news is 10 of our 11 rads are heating properly with just one, the big on in our living room, stone cold. Guys are optimistic they can sort it when the come back tomorrow and go under our floor.

3°c, dry and cloudy this morning. Out for my usual Tuesday coffee with my brother later, he enjoys listening to me going on about our problems with the old house  hugegrins

A bright but chilly start today. Looking at the forecast for next week I am not sure if our trip will be put on hold. I am not bothered we’re we go but most areas within a sensible driving distance are going to be cold and damp.
I am getting mildew and have a need to travel. so_sad

Lovely late winter morning with sunshine and scattered light cloud, I suppose tomorrow it will be an early spring g day scratch head

Weather for weekend seems to be fine margins of where the weather front will settle and how far inland it pushes.

Have a good day

Another blue sky morning, there have been more frosts since our return from travels two weeks ago than the whole of the Winter, no different last night.
Lots of birds around again this morning, back to working outside again today, should have all the heavy work done this week then time to relax a bit. Planning next trip away in the van in April but no idea where yet, fancy a nice site with an indoor pool if possible somewhere maybe Cotswolds or Welsh borders.

Happy St David's day!

3°c, dry and cloudy again, don't expect much to change over the day. I bought a solar "security" light from one of our favourite supermarkets, in the booklet, one of the warnings is protect from direct sunlight  confused0

Take care folks

Happy St David's day from me too!
Much more cloud this morning but certainly warmer, presently 6 degrees and no sign of frost overnight. Straight outside to carry on working, hopefully last day with the pressure washer, what a messy job that is!
How are the workman getting on Tony, hopefully you are getting sorted. Could do with some of your rain Boaby, still have a hosepipe ban down here and things are not getting any better.

tag has lots of rain coats Dave, his 3 peaks one covers his head too, I have a heavy snow boarders coat that is totally water proof, ( if I mind to put it on) plus a large golfers brolly ,only problem if the rain is coming in horizontally .
Have a good day Dave, take care.

Have you ever seen the comedy sketch, when someone closes one drawer another one opens.

The guys gave been toiling with our radiators, trying to get them all operating at the same time. The problem appears to be trapped air (know the feeling  Whistle1) which occurs in random places. A couple are still acting in an eccentric manner but we at least have a warm house. Just in time for the good weather  snigger

We got some bits of sunshine breaking through the clouds today and it supposedly got up to 8°c but it felt colder than that. Writing my shopping list for tomorrow, trying to work out how many turnip we will need  rolleyes

Good to hear your house is getting warm again Tony.  Just saw the forecast on STV and Sean says it's supposed to go back into the minus figures at night so fixed in the nick of time.

Hope you get the ch working in time for the next winter chill Tony, nice long walk with Tag earlier, made up for the couple of crap days when it hardly ever stopped raining.
Nice dawn chorus with a few more Mavis tuning in, including the odd Howlet calling to each other.

Have a nice day, back under the duvet for me.

4 degrees here this morning but grey and the forecast doesn't look like it's going to change.  Shopping day today so some new winter woolies may be on the list given last nights forecast.

Nudged up to 6°c now, we still have the blanket of cloud but it seems fairly bright and lifting. Yes, the weather is taking a turn back to wintery temperatures over the weekend and into next week. I'm trying not to tempt fate but the CH system appears to be operating as it should, wood is being touched as I type  shrugg

Light drizzle but otherwise not a bad morning. Covers have been removed from Forfar CMC site signs this morning, site has been upgraded over winter with 10 pitches changed from grass to hardstanding and 10 from hardstanding to serviced.

Glad your heating seems to be finally fixed Tony

Have a good day

Blue skies and sunny again, 6 degrees in the yard, forecast is for a good few days if a little chilly at night. pressure washing all done :lets_dance:now three mowers to sort out, one new one to build and the other two need some heavy servicing as like me they are past their sell by date. Turn to the van then for a good wash and spring wax, how was there ever time to fit in working for a living.
