Re: Weather
Beautiful pink tinge to everything this morning … result of the red sky in the morning, fingers crossed it’s not a warning

Still 7°c here but a bit dull., at least it looks dry so far. The forecast is for it to get up to 10°c, might keep the thermals on regardless

Re: Weather
3 again here rising to 7. Still snow lying around. Dry though.
Got to check out new TV today after an eventful weekend. Thought it just remote needing new batteries but no, even buttons on TV not working, couldn't adjust volume either. Could watch through freeplay recorder but still couldn't adjust volume . Then yesterday morning it all worked again, but not for long, everything stopped again but while it was working managed to turn volume down as it was too loud and back to using the recorder. Researching new TV just brought up more confusion, it's almost compulsory to get a SmartTV but now it's Smart v Android. When your a dinosaur when it comes to tech stuff it's headache time.
Combi boiler also leaking, soaking everything in airing cupboard, British Gas (contract) can't come till Thursday. Not classed as urgent as we still have hot water and heating.

Re: Weather
8°c and a repeat of yesterday except it does look dry today. Yesterday we had smirry rain all day, just enough to be really annoying.
Know how you feel Paul. We use an old HDR at home (hate watching adverts ) and it stopped recording random programmes then none at all. Thought it was dead but, after doing a bit of research on the net, switched it off for an hour and it worked again when switched on. Something to do with the link to EPG not loading
Take care

Re: Weather
3° rising to 8 today, dry, snow still lying on grassed areas. Went to Chester yesterday and no sign of any snow 4 miles from home.
Only have Currys to look at TVs so once we had dismissed those over £400 (and there were probably 50 of those) we got it down to a choice of 3 but needed to measure that the feet would sit on the TV plinth we have to fit a 40" instead of the 32 we have now so came home. Wife switched TV on and it worked fine again. Left it on all day and every button on remote worked (buttons on TV don't work still except on/off) so money staying in bank for time being but when time comes we know what we want.
Edit - failed again, so another trip to Currys .

Re: Weather
Morning Boaby, you beat me this morning - be a bit hard to get a Haggis on the moors, there aren't that many hills for them to run around..........
8 degrees here and a touch drizzly, hopefully it will brighten up later on, if not a wee dram can be guaranteed to lift the mood.

Yes,what he said. Forecast to get dry from the south but we've heard that one before. The boss wants a new mirror so I guess we're out shopping later

Re: Weather
Dry night, 6° now rising to 8, snow pretty much gone now.
TV taken back seat, as boiler leak got progressively worse , had to ring BG Homecare emergency service, advised to turn boiler off and water off at stopcock , so had to fill water carriers, kettle, saucepans so we had water for this morning and put the one electric fire on, engineer brought forward to this afternoon.

Re: Weather
It’s been a varied couple of days. It was bright and clear Monday driving to Derbyshire. Yesterday it was warmer but gray melting the ice on the puddles were we were parked. Today it was grey and varied from drizzling to full rain heading back east.

Here for gas meter installation, EON technician declared that required modification to electric meter installation wouldn't fit so, after major disruption to our morning and utility services, he had to pack up and abandon job!!!

Same here Peter, before Christmas, everything arranged for them ,turned up late , took photos of meters , a lot of teeth sucking then left, not heard from them since. ??
Late start this morning, started with a short walk with Tag then of to Hawsker near Whitby, ( in neighbours car) rained whilst heading over the moors, chilly wind on the coast.
Have a nice day.

Re: Weather
It is not easy here in the Bahamas walking on the hot sand when it's 29 degrees outside and then you have to take a dip in the Ocean which can be quite dangerous as you might get stung by a ray or bitten by a shark.
The beach waiter is just too slow in topping up the drinks and the jacuzzi is just a shade too hot but don't worry guys I will take the pain for you.
Never mind another couple of weeks and I can get back to the cold and wet, something to really look forward too.
Stay safe y'all
