Enjoy Filey Dave,we haven't been up to the county park for weeks, very muddy on the grass I bet.
Dried up here too, just back from a long walk with Tag, harbour area and promanard still busy.
Have a nice day.

We use the car park at the other end near the golf course. Considering how windy it’s been the country park would be a bit exsposed. We had to call at the sweet shop in town so it’s a bit more direct walking back through the gardens.
Considering the weather I think going home today was a wise move. I should think we wouldn’t have got over the bridge yesterday.

Much better morning than yesterday, still raining but more of a fine drizzle. A90 open again, roads in town centre that were closed through flooding have been cleared. Road past my house out to A90 at McDonald's is still closed about 400yds from us with road flooded and diversions in place.

All the usual suspects for flooding did so, what was u usual is for it to happen at them all at the same time. What was funny on social media is one of the roads out of town has been getting major roadworks for past two months to improve drainage and social media has been swamped with posts during that time about inconvenience the road works are causing. Yesterday post with pictures showing road turned into a river an people complaining that drainage works hadn't been finished a d look at how bad the flooding was shrugg

Bright sunny morning with little or no wind, forecast is for a dry day so outside leaf clearing and mowing again today. Plenty of bird activity, all the usual, though a distinct lack of wildfowl down by the river again

After horrendous day of weather yesterday,  today is bright, sunny, still and cool. Slight chance of rain late this afternoon .
Broadband still dropping every couple of minutes, third engineers coming Monday.

Not sure it is any comfort for those involved, but areas that flooded were generally those with a history of flooding so many already had precautions like flood doors and sandbags. What was unusual was how widespread the heavy rain was, we are used to localised flooding not across the whole of Angus and Aberdeenshire at the same time, plus more isolated flooding down towards Edinburgh. Often see stories of areas across UK with no previous which must be devastating.

No rain or wind at present, cold morning with more rain forecast. Still have to use detour to get the half mile to A90.

Stay safe.

Another bright and sunny start to the day, not so sure it will last long though. Heating on for an hour first thing this morning. Birds seem to be quite busy, as we cleared up leaves yesterday the robins were having a great time eating grubs.
Hope things improve soon for all those suffering up country.

Temperature was -1 degree when I went shopping at 7.30, had to defrost the car. Still misty after daybreak but sky looks cloudless.

Still a couple of streets in town closed with flooding in evidence. Rugby club were offering boating trips on their training and main pitches on Saturday.  By yesterday both were reduced to mud baths.

12 degrees down here in the toe of the UK, very windy though, leaves are coming down horizontally!
A few showers and sunny patches, not a day for doing much outside today.
Lady G put up and decorated five Christmas trees yesterday so today's job is to put all the empty boxes back in storage until they come back out again in the New Year to be put away again.....really confused3 ? Bah humbug Weather - Page 19 1f384

Welcome back Tony, looks as though you had near perfect weather so hope it was a great vacation.
There will be no sun beds here today, howling winds and sheeting rain showers, Plenty of debris from the trees all over the place. Supposedly 20 foot waves on the North coast, if it dries up will have to take a peak but not taking the van out in this wind.

Have a great day all allthumbz

It’s been a day of change due to having to cross the country on an emergency run to Manchester Airport. Trains canceled at the last minit. It started damp and cold at half five but dried up as we came down to Manchester.
Coming back over the moors it brightened up into a nice morning. As I got back hom it chucked down for the last five miles.
By the time muttly had his walk at lunch time it was cold but dry.colddoggy

Thanks for the welcome back, yes it was pretty much 24°c every day and not much less in the evening.

Still dark o'clock here but the gauge says it's 9°c and the rain is easy to see. We've got one of these weather stations with outdoor sensors in our kitchen and yesterday it started sounding an alarm  shrugg Since neither of us had ever heard it before, and we had no idea what it was, my wife got the manual out. It transpires it was a frost alert  scratch head, she turned off as we know when it's frosty by looking out the window.

We had a cheap clock cum weather station in the Rienza with a frost warning as we found at three in the morning when it went off. It terrified muttly and certainly caused some domestic agro. gettinwrong

Our new side window arrived in pouring rain yesterday.
We now need another window, a weather window to fit the thing!!
Best hope is Friday, intermittent rain until then. scratch head
