Re: Weather
Forecast rain arrived overnight, seems to be easing off now, not cold but cooler than yesterday.
Having collected management's car from garage might be eating porridge until pension hits bank next week. Biggest service bill I have ever paid but must admit it has made a huge difference and feels like a new car rather than six year old. Brakes don't squeak anymore, car goes where you point it rather than approximate steering and aircon works.
Have a good day

Re: Weather
Hope the shock wasn't too bad Bilbo, good to know it should all be good for a while anyway.
Cooler down here this morning, milky sunshine, 16 degrees at the moment.
Managed to wash the van yesterday so all ready for next trip out, window cleaning inside the house before coffee then decide as the day unfolds. Interested to see what interest rates do at lunchtime.
Have a great day all

Re: Weather
Managed to beat the rain with a 06:30 run with the pooches this morning and glad I did as it’s been really wet and miserable since, putting off their pm walk for as long as possible as it’s supposed to abate but the nagging has started!! May have to resort to some housework just to get away from them, desperation….

Re: Weather
It's been fine most of the day with temperatures around 18 degrees. Rain showers at 6pm, hopefully fill up the water butts again.

Re: Weather
The miserable conditions yesterday changed quite quickly, it dried up and we even had some decent sunshine during the afternoon. This morning we still have sunshine with some broken cloud but temperatures continue to fall. Trying to plan our last few days away for this year, don't think it will be a CAMC site
We've got our dates next month for both a booster and flu jabs

Re: Weather
Light cloud to start the day had burned off by 0730, now sunny and warming up though not sure how long it will last. Back from the early shop, it is beech nut time and the drive up to the house is covered with nuts and husks, great food for the birds.
Seems a shame to sweep them up but they do make getting up the slope rather tricky and are not nice to walk on.

Re: Weather
Enjoy the bbq Boaby, chicken ding for us tonight
It's been very pleasant here too, two lots of washing dried and the gardener has recovered enough from her chest infection to plant up winter hanging baskets outside. I, on the other hand, got stuck inside doing a 10 minute job that started this morning and took all day I may have a refreshment or three tonight

Re: Weather
Rained overnight at Loch Ness but dry when we got up, bright but cloudy there. Travelled down A9 with the odd short shower, lunch in Pitlochry. Now in Perth , sun shining quite warm at 16°.

Re: Weather
Bright sunny start with not a cloud in sight, the payoff for that is yet another drop in the temperature, currently 12°c. Hope you enjoy Scone Paul, we were a bit miffed (not the word used at the time) that it was not possible to access the Palace directly from the site. Yet another bit of a misleading site description from the CCC.

Re: Weather
Nice bright sunny morning but definite autumn chill.
Off for lunch and catch up with management's brother and his management.
Enjoy Perth area Paul, looks like weather in your favour over weekend

Yes a drop in overnight temp here but a clear blue sky to start with. We will have to drive round to the Palace but got a 10% discount voucher from warden.Askit wrote:Bright sunny start with not a cloud in sight, the payoff for that is yet another drop in the temperature, currently 12°c. No rain here this morning, GH. It must have been very localised. The sun is trying hard now but it's a bit weak.

Yes, what Paul said. It does look like it might become more unsettled later with some showers. Forecast suggests a very windy day tomorrow

Re: Weather
Yesterday turned out a sunny day in the end and today has started the same so probably strimming and mowing time.
Excited, booked a break in late January in the BA holidays sale yesterday, its one way to save on the heating bills.

Re: Weather
Sunny with a clear blue sky this morning but I suspect it won't last long. As you would expect it is very cold. Think we're out on a birdfood run this morning, might have to put them on a diet

Re: Weather
Dry overnight with slight breeze, cloud cover increasing now and light shower when I was out shopping.
Season has definitely changed now we are past equinox. Leaves changing from green to various shades of yellow and red. Both plum trees in my garden have shed almost all their leaves in past few days revealing a few last plums we hadn't harvested.
Hope everyone away is cosy in their vans
