Lovely bright sunshine now not a cloud in the sky and a very light frost last night gone by the time we were out at 0730 for the early shop.
Over to Merc dealer to look at the car and confirm rear subframe had broken. First class result they will replace it under warranty with no charge and do a free service at the same time. They also found the only subframe in the UK that fits the car and it is being shipped next week. May not have it back until after Christmas but happy days all round. Well done Mercedes South West.

Another chilly start to the day, dry starlite sky, -2 without a wind, good walk out with Tag along the dry bits of path ,back for porridge.

Got up to -2, warming up now, -1. Just starting to snow. Yesterday's snow was washed away by heavy rain in the afternoon.

White over here with a very heavy frost , clear skys and the sun is shining, just got to wait for it to defrost the car as I have to venture out

Another cold and frosty morning here but not as bright so far. I thought it seemed a bit less icy on our walk last night and this morning. The T junction part way round our walk was a sheet of ice yesterday but today we manged to cross the road without doing a triple toe loop. 
Its only a short street leading on to our avenue but the locals use it as a short cut to Lidl and try to beat the land speed record in 100 yds causing some fun when its icy. Also its part of the driving instructors route. The house opposite are lucky to have a front garden wall for more than a year.

Frost again last night, white camelia that was in full flower now ruined and looking very brown. Currently 4 degrees but just had a sleet shower and the ground was like a skating rink when I went out to feed our feathered friends.

Been raining for most of the morning, fortunately no snow or ice here at present. Quiet day by telly I think. Will have a look and see if there is anything worth watching on later

Good result GH but why did it break and is the only one in the UK you're getting because all the others have been already fitted to replace other broken ones??

Bright sun now and the temp has gone up to 5 degrees, ice seems to have melted in the sun. Three  accidents in the village this morning two cars through hedges in different spots and one overturned, this is in a stretch of road less than a mile long. Certainly caught people out!

+2 now with the frozen grass thawing and turning to mud, overcast with out any wind.

We are in Dorset visiting relatives, staying on a CL within walking distance of their home. 
Last night the temperature reached -8C outside but we were toasty warm inside with our Whale heating during the evening and an electric oil free radiator overnight. We also used the tank blankets for the first time. 
All good practice for our Christmas trip to Austria

In Cantabria now, ferry from Santander tomorrow. 3 degrees last night and highest temp has been 9 degrees today - bit of a shock after the last few months but a beautiful mountain valley with an aire for 7E with elec so no complaining. Hoping Biscay is nice and quiet…..

Another cold dry starlite morning, patchy black ice, good walk with Tag down the promanard and back ( avoiding the black ice) have a safe trip back AG.

Thick fog this morning with a covering of frost, so glad we have a log burner it’s been lit now for 4 day does really keep the temp up at night

-1 now with clear sky.snowed until about 3am so now have sheet ice everywhere. Just taken 20 minutes to defrost the Yaris so management  and daughter  no1 can get to cinema in Dundee for special screening for guides. Yaris has winter tyres and is manual diesel so good grip on bad roads, prefer it to Auris hybrid which has four season tyres.

As a neutral footie has been interesting, not sure about all those grown men crying though, and as a rugby man they do seem a bit whimpish when tackled. Put them up against our local ladies team and see who is more manly

-4c here now but compared to foggy yesterday a nice bright morning blue shy just COLD!!
Gridwatch told me that at 8am UKPLC was generating more electricity from burning coal than all of wind and solar combined!!!
Vast bulk, 66% from CCGT burning N Sea gas at an overall efficiency of 65% approx. Saw a Nissan Leaf yesterday with a big ZERO EMMISIONS badge on the boot, had to smile........
Solar is zero at present which surprised me till I looked at my solar panel which is covered with frost, just like car windscreens are.......

Bright blue skies and 2 degrees but still very icy outside, give me the snow any day at least you know where you stand.....or don't!
Planned to take the van out today but yet again local facebook page reports cars sliding around so maybe it will have to wait for a few days. First time I have not been putting heat in it but running a dehumidifier for an hour or so once a week and it seems totally condensation free.
