When we were in Tesco yesterday a guy (about 30ish) sneezed twice right in front of me, no attempt to cover his face
Last evening was wild again with heavy rain and stong winds blowing right through into this morning. Still very wet at 7°c. Forecast to dry up later this morning for a while until more wind and rain sweeps in this evening.
Take care folks
More folk down with the flu/ COVID symptoms than during the COVID pandemic??, especially our elderly neighbours ( same age as Me. Local health centre pharmacy very busy with patients.
Overcast and cooler breeze. 2 walks with Tag, he's cream crackered now.

Just got a text from my brother, after his flu he has tested positive for covid.
Turned into a bright and breezy day, got some washing "nearly" dry outside. No chance of that over the weekend though

Little chance of seeing the moon last night with dark clouds lots of rain. Still dull and damp but at least it's 9°c and the rain is off just now. More heavy showers expected later.

Re: Weather
Rained all morning but been dry since lunchtime, quite pleasant when I went to empty kitchen bin.
Just had to get up to put lounge lights on as sunset due any minute now but definite increase in daylight length this weekend
Family decided we are going out to Dundee later for a meal out together as it is rare for the four of us to be together with an evening free.

Have a great trip Ian, hope the sun keeps shining for you.
Heavy showers down here today, spent yesterday trying to find this bl@@dy leak above the lounge window, apart from hacking off all the render on the wall above it I still don't know whether bodge number 26 will have fixed the problem. Today is ripping out a toilet in a downstairs cloakroom, oh joy but it has to be done.
Looks like the weather is well set in although a brief bright spot tomorrow but at least it is still warm.
Have great day all

Re: Weather
A bright start with a chilly breeze this morning. I think its a workshop day so the heater will go on whilst the kettle boils. Considering its only a wooden shed its always seems quite warm once you are out of the breeze.

Re: Weather
Yesterday turned out surprisingly sunny with a stiff breeze blowing so it was a decent drying day. Cooler today with broken cloud but dry so far. Forecast for the week looks like one band of rain after the other hitting this bit of the country.
Take care folks.

Windy with showers this morning, still warm though but the day is all going down the toilet for me. tempting fate to say it will be a simple enough job but hopefully no digging the foundations up to get to the ancient soil pipe.
Memsahib's birthday today, so there is the birthday present, a nice new throne to sit on!

Re: Weather
Another bright start to he day here if a bit chilly in the breeze. Typically any plans for taking muttly for a longer walk have been scuppered again. This time there’s a parcel for me coming today. I didn’t think it would be delivered so fast. Also management says we should do a top up shop at Sainsbury’s instead of across the road to Lidl. I must admit the fridge is a bit empty.
Another fun day of retirement. Who says there’s lots of time to do things.

Re: Weather
8 degrees with no wind and broken cloud. Very pleasant out, just been out checking WXLwhich is sitting unheated no ehu and main ec500 switched off. All good, need it as transport for acouple of days a week for next month or so, therefore needed to check it was good to go.
Also managed to get ladder out and check roof of summer house, some water inside after heavy rain. Roof felt looks intact, but couple of tacks proud of surface. Tapped back down so will see if simple fix works
Nice to be pottering outside in fresh air

Colder at 5°c and raining on and off with little chance of change over today and tomorrow. Trying to .keep our birds fed is hard going, we have a thug squirrel that keeps attacking the feeders. When chased, it gets very noisy and aggressive

All change this morning, it’s chucking it down. I can see me getting wet several times today. Firstly muttly walk next walk down see foot lady and then walk down to our sons to let the gas inspector and landlord in for his annual safety checks.
